I was able to deadlift today finally after a month and a half of not being able to due to a low back injury. Pulled 340. 15lb PR from last time. 365 next time…
Pulled 365x2 last week, did 385 for one today. I’m gonna try 405 in two weeks or so.
I pulled 350 in august. Im dieing to get up to 405. Im running 531 and IDK when I should retest my max for deadlift again.

Two guys in my gym who were pullin’ 315 last year are still pullin’ 315. smh.
Got a 40lb PR today, 425lbx1 after two months of Sheiko. Very fast and very smooth, had 10-15 more lbs in me. Sitting at 145ish body weight, first meet in december.
i got 308lbs x 1 a few months ago. form sucked some serious arse, hips moved up too quick etc etc etc. Hopefully when i set max next ill be able to get 330 - 352lbs. but that is still a while away yet.

That’s about the limit for people who aren’t that serious about lifting, squat is probably the same if they even squat and for a bad ROM. They also still think bench is their weak lift (of the big 3) since they are not at 315 on that yet.
Been doing deadlifts for half a year. Did an ugly 125kg/275lb x 5 @ 68kg/150lb BW recently. How long did you guys take to get from 315 to 405/or where you are now?

5/3/1 worked well on the DL, more so than the other lifts. Basically just 1 hard set a week, no high volume or anything. Don’t worry about 1RM attempts until you can rep 365, then 405x1 will be close.

Pulled 275 in my first meet back in April. Been working at it, did a couple cycles of Sheiko. Last week did 310, ALMOST got 315.
Yea I did 3 months of purely 5/3/1, now I switched back to a 6 day BB style split, except on my quad dominant leg day I do Squatting with the 5/3/1 template and on hamstring dominant leg day I do Deadlift with 5/3/1.
I think 5/3/1 works amazing for deadlift. And squats. Went from 285 PR to 385 in 4 months.
i have been been stuck at 405 for 2 months now. 405 came easy the hard part is getting past it
This thread seems to be going slow, so I’ll wake it up. Got 315 Deadlift a few weeks back and working towards 405! Goal of lifting it in June.

Pulled 365 a while ago while on 531, now i am in the accumulation phase of the westside method. Once I am done I will re test it, I hope i get over 405.
Im in, my heaviest recent set was 365x3. I also did 355x5 last week, so im not too far off. Im using 5/3/1 FWIW
Put my deadlift on 5/3/1 a few weeks. Went from a 305 1RM to my 5+ set last week being 250 for 13. (lol…)

Managed to pull four plates per side for the first time yesterday.
180kg, which is 400lbs, not 405, but all the weights in my gym are in kgs so it’s about as close as I can get, haha.
Sets were:
6x60kg (132)
6x60kg (132)
6x100kg (220)
6x120kg (265)
3x140kg (309)
3x160kg (365)
1x180kg (400)
Was very happy with myself as I’ve not long come back from a bit of a back injury. Took the last few weeks slowly building myself back up and it’s paid dividends, I’ve come back stronger than before.
Previous deadlift max was 160kg (365lbs) for 1 rep, so both my last sets were PRs.
I’ve found two things key to helping my deadlift this cycle. Firstly, working legs more and especially my hamstrings which I used to neglect. Secondly, changing my technique. Sitting back a bit more and really tightening upper back by ‘tucking shoulder blades into back pockets’ really helped stop my ass shooting up and turning it into a SLDL.
Gonna take the next week as a deload to give my back a rest, then go back at it and chase after 5plates! ![]()
