I’m going to start up your strenght program (the 1x5 daily then ladders), real pumped about it. One question though, would adding one more exercise be too much? I’d like to add in bent-over rows, following the same protocol. So have 4 exercises instead of 3 (bench, squat, dead, and rows). I could see how that might be redundant since deads are already in there and they will work the back to an extent.
Also, I understand why you left out work for bis & tris, but could you add that in along the same lines as the shrugs (4x12 or so)? Thanks man.
I’d skip the ladders portion of the program (didn’t gain much from it). After you hit your 5RM, then just start back over at a light weight and gradually build your way up.
I don't see a problem with throwing in the BOR's.
I wouldn't train triceps at all as they are heavily involved in the bench press.
Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions,
Thanks. I was actually more wanting to do biceps training, which I think should be ok. Dunno whether I’ll do the ladders or not, I was going to do as you had thought and use Mag-10 due to the increased volume. Better do some quick thinking though, gotta order it all so I’ll have it all lined up at the start. Thanks again bro.
