He was just tired of being called out. So he saved it for Cycle 8 / Week 1 / Day 1 ![]()
I was scanning through this, forgot what I was looking at and saw this:
and thought, Yes! I’m finally stronger than someone here. Then I looked up and saw it was you in your deload week. People actually do those? Good work keeping with it to the end.
Thanks guys, I guess my whoredom knows no bounds.
Oh you’re probably stronger than me Carl.
Sat.
Rack Pulls Mid-shin
135x5, 185x5, 225x3, 275x3, 315x1, 365x1, 385x1, 405x1, 315x3, 225x3
I played with setting up 45lb plates to get get the bar mid-shin. Repping was a bit uncomfortable but singles were good. I’m going to spend the next few weekends getting this down and then I’ll figure out where I’m going to fit this in to my routine.
Nice pulling. That’s a lot of weight from mid shin. I think that’s the hardest place to pull from.
Those are good rack pulls. Don’t know if you’ve been asked yet but are you using straps? Will they let you bring your own stuff to your gym? Couple of wood supports would be easy to throw together outta 2x4s.
I’m a supporter of mixing in some bodybuilding stuff with the strength. It keeps things interesting.
Thanks for the model comment.
Being small does have some advantages. For instance, my deadlift is probably a mid-shin rack pull.
Great rack pulls. You’ve never told me I look like a model. Haven’t you seen any of the videos I’ve posted??

I think you might be right. My glutes never hurt like they did the next morning.
Nice pulls, Joe. Jack is right. Mid shin is a bitch.

I was using straps on my high rack pulls because my grip wouldn’t hold the 550+ but I didn’t use them on the mid-shin and my plan is to not use them on the mid-shin versions.
I’ll have to look into that, my gym can be really good about somethings are horrible about others.

I’d like to say the adding in of the bodybuilding stuff is to to keep things interesting but really its all about my being vain.
As for the comment, just calling it like I see it.

Thats because I don’t want to cause trouble between you and Pete, cutie.

Yep, it ended up hammering the glutes.
So the Sunday before last I had to run 5k in the morning and then play flag football that afternoon because of time constraints. Well this Sunday I again had to rush to get everything done so I tried running my 5k right after the flag football game.
FAIL
I got about 2.5 miles in and my hammies closed down the show. So I need to really hammer out the miles next weekend.
Also because I am a cocky idiot I am playing for two teams in the fll season and might be playing for a third. All on Sunday, I have issues.
I saw your most recent video on FB. It’s looking really good. It sounds almost like the guys in the back ground are setting up a date.

I would not be the least bit surprised if that was happening.
