JoeGood Gets Better - Rehab & Progress

Joe!
nice PR on the deads.!!!
great work Joe!

I hear you on the tiny biceps my forearms are at least as big as my upper arm.

kmc

kmcny: Thanks man, just reading your log makes me want to crush the hell out of my sad little maxes.

Tuesday- Biceps and Lower Body

CG Ez Bar Preacher Curl 112 4,3,3 rp
Reverse grip Bb Curl 90 15,12,10 rp
Leg Press-calves 540 13 reps ss
Lying Leg Curls 130 10,6,3
Back Squats 235 x 7, 165 x 21
HS AB Cr 145 3x8

I had to lift back to back because the University gym is closed on Friday and you can tell I missed the rest day. Still squeeked out rep PR’s on everything but boy was it hard and god did it suck.

Joe
I would not call them sad maxes at all…
your weights and volume are on the rise every work out!!

nice work

Seconded. I can’t do preacher curls at that poundage - no way.

Thanks guys, I’m just not very happy with my squats and deads at teh moment.

Friday- Upper Body

Flat DB Bench 100 8,4,2 rp
OH Press 125 6,4,2 rp
V-bar press downs x many
HS Iso Lat row 170/side 8,5,4 rp
Rack Pull 435x5, 335x13
HS AB Cr 145 3x8

I couldn’t do dip today due to gym failure so I did a ton of V-bar press downs. Rep PR’s on everything but the OH Press which was very rough going today.

Joe- just got over and caught up on the log. Yes, I am ashamed it took so long. Great work…lots of PRs going on over here. And don’t get me started on the curls. My biceps seized just reading the numbers.
50more #'s on the DL…no problem!

Is the belt thing more broken then before?

Thanks LS, just trying to hold it down.

Ronda, yep the battling retards struck again.

Monday- Biceps and Lower Body

Standing BB Curls 115 5,4,2 rp
Hammer Curls 65 11,6,5 rp
Seated Calf Raises 150 13 Reps ss
Good Mornings 165 10 Reps ss
Hack squat 275x6, 185x21
HS Ab Cr 145 3x8

Despite three days of rest everything was a struggle today. I hot rep PR’s on everything but just barely. HAcks are coming out of my rotation and Zerchers are going in their place. Looks like my cut will start next week. Looking to drop 10-12lbs while increasing strength nominally.

battling brotards are at every gym…

did you say 115 bb curls?
Awesome work.
Nice Good mornings too.

nice work

I like 'em. I’d like to work them back in the mix.

Nice pressing Joe.

So you find the db floor presses hit the tris that directly? Shrugs and Tbar rows are a stand out.

Looking strong Joe…

I like the Db floor presses too-
x2 on what Hel said about the rows, and shrugs.
nice work

kmc

Really nice shrugs. 385# is big time.

What are ghetto T-bar rows?

Those Db floor presses killed my tris like they haven’t been hit in a while. It could just be me though. I’m odd like that.

DB Floor presses, and rolling DB extensions kill my triceps-
I did those and tate presses and saw some jumps in both size and strength
they feel good.

We don’t have a chest supported t-bar at my gym. So you have to take the bar and cram it into a corner and weigh it down. Then load the bars on the other end and use the v-bar pull down handle.

I know lots of people do them that way but people often think I’m doing chest supported rows so I phrase it that way.

Friday- biceps and Lower Body

BB Preacher Curl 90 12,7,4 rp
Pinwheel Curls 60 10,6,5 rp
Standing Calf Raises 315 14 reps ss
SDLS’s 185 11 reps
Leg Press 680x5, 360x23
HS Ab Cr 145 3x8

Rep PR’s on everything and weight PR on the Leg Press. I start my PSMF style cut on Monday, with luck I can push through 4 weeks of it boosting my numbers slightly while dropping some fat.

Nice work
strong arms!

is that some kind of fasting… you diet?

I’m trying to put some size on them.

It’s a pretty fierce almost all protein diet, which I’ll take in as liquids, that really causes you to drop fat fast. Of course you can’t do it too long which si why I’m only doing it for a month.
