Damn that’s a heavy squat. This may sound crazy but I’ve never used the snooze in my life. I rarely even use my alarm. I somehow wake up like a minute before my al;arm goes off and then I just get up and shut it. Your numbers are even more impressive considering they are early in the morning. I’ve tried a number of times to lift first thing in the morning and always had the worst sessions ever. BTW the Skins are 4-3 so not too bad. Cowboys are terrible as I expected and now the Giants are making a run. The WC is still definitely possible for your Skins.
Yeah, I was a swimmer in HS and had to get up at 3:50AM, so I’ve never met a snooze alarm I didn’t like. I have to work out in the morning to stay consistent because it’s the only time I don’t have any time conflicts. I don’t think it makes much of a difference for me whether it’s in the morning or the evening.
The Skins are winning some close games and at times the offense looks like it knows what it’s doing. The NFC is terrible, so the WC isn’t out of the question, but I (unlike Cowboy fans) try to keep my expectations reasonable knowing it’s a long season and the quality of the team is not “playoff quality.” It doesn’t mean that the playoffs aren’t a possibility, but they’re going to have to scrape and claw for every win because the talent and cohesion just isn’t there.
I’m loving how the Cowboys are so terrible. I had lunch with a Cowboy fan yesterday and I was explaining how funny it is to watch them think they’re a SB contender every year but then only win one playoff game in 14 years. Then this year they’re talking about hosting the SB and playing it in their own building…and they’re 1-5. He couldn’t even process the information. It’s like talking to a brick.
Have you watched any basketball yet? I’m not much of an NBA fan anymore but I did watch the Knick game which was pretty good.
I watched the first half of the Heat/Celtics. The Heat are overrated. They have no interior scoring and Bosh is overrated. Wade and James are great, but missing Miller will hurt them and they’ve got to get something going on the inside.
I caught a little bit of the Rockets/Lakers. LA wins it all again this year, I think. Celtics/Lakers, Lakers in 6.

That was a weird game. Something is obviously going on there. Not sure if Shanahan is trying to send Donovan a message or what. Shanahan has a good track record so he obviously knows what he’s doing but the timing was definitely odd. Donovan has always been sensitive so he probably should have been more careful. I could understand if you have a competent backup but Rex friggin Grossman???
Rex Grossman has the same record in the Super Bowl as Donovan McNabb. I hope the Skins can draft a good QB. One more year of McNabb is enough for me. Much better than Campbell, but he’s on the way down.
This week is deload. Squat was 5x245,275,295 OHP was 135, 135, 155, 135. I’m slow on the right arm for some reason. I’m going to repeat the same weights this coming cycle as I’ve been very displeased with OHP lately.
I did a few sets of pullups, Kroc rows, and BS’d a bit. Not my best day in the gym, but it’s deload week.

I know, I don’t even feel like posting it. I deloaded bench on Wednesday and DL today. Played basketball Wed and today. Can’t wait for Monday.
7.1 Wendler leaked some of his 5-3-1 for Power Lifting in one of the T-Nation articles last week. He says switching week 1 and 2 and adding heavy singles on the new week 1 and week 3 are the way to go for PL. So this week is 3x3.

That’s the catch with deloading. I know they say it’s impossible to come off weaker but I dunno. My final week before my last dead was amazing and I went real heavy rather easily. I took my deload and then from there it’s been a bit of struggle. Maybe on the deload I need to go slightly heavier than suggested, I dunno…
There are two templates for the deload. I use the heavier of the two.
