Oh tongues! I hate to publicly deny a church movement, but I have an extreme disgust for the Pentecostal movement. It’s amazing that I’ve attended all sorts of churches: Lutheran, Catholic, Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, etc. and none spoke in tongues or convulsed during service. Is it truly only the Pentecostal movement that has a monopoly on the Holy Spirit? These are probably part of the same movement that would have you believe that Jesus was rich and wants you to be rich or that if you are sick, crippled, etc. it’s because your lack of faith.
Ever been to Argentina? I sat next to two older ladies who spoke in tongues through the entire mass and shook through out.
So? This proves nothing. They could have been suffering from dementia.

Nope, never been to Argentina. Not on the top of my list of places to go, but you never know.

Hmm, I wonder if you actually being taught correctly about Catholicism. Why I wanted you to say you were Irish Catholic, is because you seem to have a lack of knowledge of the Catholic Church.
I’ve had the teachings of the Catholic church forced down my throat all through my school life.If anything, being Irish Catholic would mean that I know a hell of a lot more about the catholic church, particularly the bad stuff.
Or are you saying I don’t know anything about the catholic church because I think what it preaches is nonsensical??
I think if you go to school and ignore what everyone says…then you come out like most people do thinking…what did I learn? I meet people all the time who claim great knowledge of Christianity because their parents made them go to sunday school or to a christian school…etc. It doesn’t mean anything if you don’t really have any intention of learning anything to begin with.
So basically, poor push is feeling so aggrieved, he has to pad out posts, creating fluff and trying to create disinterest in the thread, while avoiding all questions.

No, We Christians are sick and tired of the violence filled Fundamentalism of Islam being compared with the non-violent Fundamentalism of Christianity. He made a completely valid point - compare the number of deaths/injuries directly caused fundamentalist muslims to the death/injuries directly caused by fundamentalist Christians. If you cannot see the difference you are as ignorant as a hippopptamus with a lombotomy and ADHD
