Jeans Constantly Tear

OPs needs to drop the fluff, and get rid of the mommy hips

How much you deadlift? Gtfo.

I had a pair of Ralph Lauren chinos that split on me while I was out and about.

I had to take my ass to a Macy’s real quick and buy another pair.

That’s the first time that’s happened though.

My real problem is that my boxers always split.

It’s less about the brand than it is about finding jeans that can fit properly at the waist but still accommodate legs appropriately. On the cheap end there’s Uniqlo, which has a fit that worked for me at ~$30 a pair. It’s true you can just size up a ton, but I dislike the bunching under the belt and the space at the hips.

This is all a moot point if you can get away with baggy jeans and sweats or you wear scrubs to work.
I like those Uniqlo’s but the waists only go up to 36 inches. I’d need a 38 or 40

What do you guys do for jeans that don’t explode after like 5 months?
LOL - modern jeans are designed to explode after 5 months. That’s like buying a Willy Wonka everlasting gobstopper thinking it really is everlasting.

If you’re SOOOO massive that you just can’t find jeans that fit without buying 3 sizes up…find a damn tailor. It’s not hard. It’ll cost you 10-15 bucks and your damn pants will fit.

At 245, I can sympathize with the OP, but I’ll bet anything he’s just wearing them low and/or needs to squat more.

Also, I’ve had really good luck with Banana Republic (relaxed fit, straight or boot) jeans. They do tend to fade/shrink quickly so make sure you wash them in cold, inside out, and air dry.
I’ll take you up on that bet. It might actually have something to do with the way we walk or maybe our hip size, but our inner thighs just rub together with every step unless we purposely hold our legs past shoulder width apart.

And it sounds like you’ve not really had pants tailored before, but if you buy something that fits the legs and has a good length but a few extra inches in the waist and get that tailored, unless you want them to completely remake the pants, it ends up being an eternal wedgie.
Yep. I don’t think it has much to do with quad size as this has been happening to me since middle school (before I hit the weights). And it doesn’t have to do with “wearing too low” 'cuz my boxer briefs get it too.

Also this is awesome.
No no, you’re awesome!

I really only wear 3 or 4 different jeans, and I’ve had 'em all for at 3+ years and they’ve held up fine. Bought a badass pair of looser fitting 7’s at a thrift store for $20 that were worn at the knee, but sewed that up and now they’re good. If your jeans are ripping then it’s shitty stitching or material. Denim is pretty durable and should not rip.
That’s because you’re a hater, and haters have skinny legs.

I buy the comfort band Hanes, they are stretchy so I don’t have this problem. Figured this out freshman year when it took two weeks to run out of any underwear that didn’t have a hole in the crotch.

Could how you walk have something to do with it? trying to model walk all day or something…

The real issue is that AccipiterQ’s anus constantly tears.

problem solved…crotch gussets!

turn ripped jeans inside out.
sew the hole back up with a needle and thread.
no more hole in jeans.

My jeans rip in the crotch to, and I sew them together by hand. It’s not super pretty, but it’s cheaper than tossing em out.

Thought I’d throw in a word. My brother has the same muscular man thigh prob. Rips the crotch out of all pants. He has found luck with Diesel(expensive I know) jeans style Zaf 4. Apparently the Zaf 4 is designed for this purpose.

Hmm, makes sense.

Diesel jeans that fit “muscular man thighs”??? I’d have to see that

EDIT: not the muscular man thighs… The pants

The ol’ Freudian slip there eh, Geg? BUSTED!

Try not washing them so frequently. That preserves the denim and also allows them to stretch more.

I wash mine only like once a month now after reading about how to care for jeans. Ripped open too many pairs.

Stop drying your jeans.

Yeah I wear them many times between washes and hang dry them.
