He always names drugs
I watched the video from front to back. He specifically stated he would not name the drugs that gave that particular look, other than it was “more than just simple test.”

My assumption is tren/mast, but I really don’t know.

Most of the top guys are using, they’re just signed to contracts worth a bit of cash and coming out as a user isn’t exactly good for the corporation. It basically says “its not our products, just his drugs”.
Gasp! They don’t use any drugs! Ronnie Coleman is natural and only uses vitamins and syntha-6 just like me!

250mg vitamin C acetate EOD…!

I’ve only seen a few of his videos but I liked what he had to say.

You’re talking about the Lame Nordstrom vid? First of all, he already stated it indirectly in other videos. He also stated the strength related drugs. The video’s down so I can’t go back and check whether he remarked on specific substances or not regarding the physique photos.

This guy? Never heard of him until this thread - seems like a smarmy douchebag who doesn’t even look like he lifts.

That’s what I came away with from watching that video. Perhaps I’m wrong, but based on that - yea seems like just another dickhead trying to make a name for himself by being “controversial”.

Laughable…
I can see how you can get that impression. I hope this will help clarify some of your thoughts.

Jason is on the return from 2.5 years of ill health (1 year bedridden) where he became obese. He even had to walk with a cane for a long time. Video below gives a summary of his story, but good to see a person return to the iron game after ill health. His return is now focused on powerlifting rather than bodybuilding and so that is not the best for aesthetics.

His YouTube channel is actually very good. Giving mostly quality information based on science (he has a PhD in exercise science). This includes discussing supplementation (he is a minimalist) and he offers a novice routine (basically 5x5). He is also a bit too honest for his own good.

He started some videos on realistic expectations and fake naturals. I think it was a brave stance to make, but it has developed to quite a storm.

Overall, I think he is more a positive influence. Everybody has their faults.
He’s a formerly obese dumbfuck who isn’t obese anymore but still doesn’t look like he lifts? Who is he, Orion?

He had pretty respectable lifts as well as a decent bodybuilding career prior to illness

A pointless contribution for a pointless thread.

Don’t know who this guy is. Don’t really care. Anybody should know it’s frowned upon in most gyms to openly discuss drug use. If this comes as a surprise to him, he’s in for a big shock as to what real life is like.

^This. I don’t care if you’re the most accepting person out there, use PEDs yourself, or just don’t have an opinion on them, if you own a gym, and they’re illegal you’re not going to want some dude doling out advice about them. Heck, you’re not going to even want to hear people discussing them because it will confirm that they’re “in your gym”.

I trained at a place in the late 90’s that had several openly PED enhanced members, a few who even dealt out of their cars in the parking lot. One day the owner was taking out the garbage and flipped his lid when he saw several recently used syringes in it just as casually as one might discard an empty gatorade bottle. While he can’t control what his members do on their own, he didn’t exactly want guys engaging in illegal activities in his place of business. It’s really just that simple.

The only time I’ve ever even heard of this Ice-cream guy, is his few fairly recent videos trashing a natural competitors who he believes don’t quite qualify for their professed status. Now while people are entitled to their own personal opinions, putting such videos out for the public when you have no real evidence outside of your own opinion (“I’ve seen blah blah blah, and this looks like…”) it’s no only in poor form, but it’s a pretty asshole thing to do.

S

I know this is s serious bump, but looking at this thread a few years later, it’s hysterical how much truth has come out and how sad it is to see how many people bought into such bullshit. The line about his “being honest” is the furthest thing from the truth, as anyone who has paid even the smallest amount of attention to this realizes.

-Jason doesn’t have a Phd, he didn’t even finish a year of community college.

-He hates supplements because several companies turned him down as a spokesman after he approached them, hoping to use his youtube channel as means of advertising.

-Stole his “novice routine” from Reg Park (or Bill Starr depending on who you ask and how old they are)

-Was never a competitive bodybuilder, or even looked like one. (Has since started claiming all evidence burned up in a fire -lol) Old forum posts of his were discovered where he flat out lied about being 250 lbs shredded and all sorts of BS claims, which contradict photos taken at the same time showing a fat cos-player with an overactive imagination.

-Was never sick with Menieres (sp?) disease. His former wife admitted that no doctor ever found anything wrong with him, he just didn’t want to get a real job and played video games all day until she threw him out.

S

I don’t think he is capable of his claim of a 405+ close grip bench either. I think he said it was a 495 close grip bench press.

Has anyone seen what a 500 pound bencher looks like? Lol.
