Jarrett's Training Log

Hello everybody! My name is Jarrett and I am brand new to this forum. I have been competing in strongman for 6 years now in the <175 lb weight class and have dabbled in a few powerlifting contests. My love for strongman started when I was a little kid watching ESPN’s World’s Strongest Man. In college I thought it would be cool if something like that existed for smaller people. I found North American Strongman’s website and from there I haven’t looked back.

This log will be of all my training and I will start it tomorrow with my workout as today is my rest day.

Hope to get some input from more experienced lifters and encouragement along the way. I’m also here to answer any questions if need be.

Alright so I hit my first workout since joining T-Nation forums and it went okay! I’m easing back into competitive strongman so none of my lifts are going to be super heavy for a bit but that’s the idea of working back into it.

Today was a medium intensity deadlift day with some other hinge specific movements and upper back work.

Slammed out some upper body pressing and pulling movements. Things are feeling alright for just getting back into things. My lower back has not been feeling great this week so I will have to do my physical therapy exercises and stretches to rehab that again.

3 weeks out from my strongman contest. I am treating it as a training day as I am not in strongman shape yet. This 550 mile move took a lot out of my training.
