I superset all of the accessory work. Everything went well but i didn’t get any extra reps on the bench. I really like using squats as a warm up and im definitely improving my form and getting more limber. Even my shoulders are thanking me.
I miss heavy weights for low reps…but my joints all feel a lot better. I need to figure out how to rotate the two approaches.
Squats are feeling great now. I worked on upper back tightness during these sets. I used the barbell for the step ups which is a lot harder but should yield good results for me.
Next wave I’ll start adding some of the power movements like jumps and throws into the routine. I would have done it this wave but I need to get my body used to the volume.
I’m traveling for work so I was at a strange gym. The people were friendly though which was a nice surprise considering that I’m in downtown Oakland.
Squats went well and I’m really learning to appreciate them as a warm up. Dan John said “if it’s important do it every day” and I think that’s great advice.

I’ll say… it’s frekaing spectacular. Ya’ know, doing some higher rep stuff for a few months is a just a good all 'round idea for every PLer on here. Variety is good.
This was the last bench day of the 10’s cycle. I’ve got a deload then I move onto the 8s. I’m so used to going heavier for triples that it was both mentally and physically hard on me. This week is all about going to actual failure so I’ll definitely need the deload.
This was a very solid session. My main squats went better than expected. I’m still really getting used to the lighter weights and I have to keep telling myself that the volume is making up for it. I’m really pushing the accessory work and my focus is on quality reps. The step ups are done with a box that puts my knee above my hip crease. The GMs are done with a concentration on really squeezing my glutes at the top. One thing that I like about this program is that it allows me to focus on things that I didn’t really focus on before.
You know, it was more my lungs than anything else but my legs are definitely still feeling it now. These sessions are pretty rough and I’ve got a deload then my 8s wave starts.
