I am keeping this log for my own benefit and maybe to help others if I can. I will try to get a video camera soon. But for all those that question if I am lieing, fuck off. Don’t post here.
Jake… maybe you should talk to Randizo about the program he’s currently doing. It makes sense and should do you a lot of good.
Pics look much better than the last batch you had out there. Id also second the opinion that bar does seem extremely low on your back for squats.

On my pullups, I focus on pulling through my elbows till I can see over the bar directly across to the other side where another bar is. I keep my lower body either with my knees up or my legs straight (not using it). I pull myself up under control and lower myself under control. I don’t put my chin over the bar, and I pause at the top.
I am big on form too, but really, how bad can you mess up the form on a pullup other than doing them without control? oh, forgot to mention, I wasn’t resting any “distinct” amount of time on the pullups. I wasn’t taking that long in between sets either.
But please, give me a break. As if to say my lifting is all that great. It sucks, and if you think otherwise, you have never been around too many people serious about getting stronger or bigger. Please don’t take offense to this as I know you are known for taking things the wrong way.
I am in the process of looking to see if I can get a video camera.

How can you mess up a pullup? Well plenty really, I’m just curious if you were really stretching the lats by going all the way down as far as possible, and how much you might be “jerking” up so to speak. No big deal Jake, maybe your form is better than mine, anything’s possible. I think it thrashes your lats better if you do get your chin up over the bar, it’s harder to do so, plain and simple. Obviously it’s not a “must do” but I was curious about that too. You mentioned that so that’s covered now.
I didn't mean to get on you or piss you off.
I know about doing pullups for total reps of 50 and 100, and don’t have issue with that, just merely curious how you were resting between. Pullups require a great deal of strength to do if you go all the way down and go back up w/out swingin around like a monkey on a vine. And when doing them strict it’s hard to get the same number set to set once past about 3-4 sets worth, even with a good 2 min rest between sets, unless you’re pretty strong and have good endurance. I stand corrected, you obviously must possess these qualities bud.
I don’t even understand your last paragraph, cause it makes no sense the way it is structured, so sorry I can’t relate to that one. I do find it curious that you would say that “I’m known for taking things the wrong way”. Where did you get that pray tell?
Anway I did say something positive I believe like go for it or similar. I'll leave it to you to show me what a pompous fool I have been to question your form or anything else about your training my man.
Have a great day.

As I said before, I appreciate the offer. but no thanks.
Alright then…
Just remember, if you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always got.
I’m not saying my way is the only way, but you definitely do need to seek some training advice from someone.
My suggestions are to talk to Tone, Schwarz, and Bushy. 2thepain would also be a good guy to talk with considering you gear your training towards strength more than anything else. Assuming you want to keep your bodyfat in check, talk to Contl too. My final suggestion is talk to all of them about your goals, consider all the options, formulate an exact program, post it here in the next few days, let us critique it, and then most importantly, stick with it.
Sorry to tell ya buddy, but your training makes no sense to me. Or should I say… your OVERTRAINING makes no sense to me, lol.
I’m here to help and now that you have a more open attitude towards seeking and accepting the advice of others, those fellas I mentioned will be more than happy to help you out.

Gotta agree with World here, Jake. Don’t train “instinctually.” You aren’t ready for that yet. If nothing else, pick out a Christian Thibaudeau program or something similar. Whatever you do, don’t go into it willy-nilly. You need to have a long term, every day plan worked out and you need to stick to it. Remember, you only get one first cycle. Do it right, man.
Just saw this post. You didn’t piss me off. The other guy did. I thought you were getting on me because you thought it was some incredible task that I had preformed or… something like that.

Well, the way I was training before actually got me really good results, the diet, as you know, didn’t. I had very good results training the way I trained before, and although I was a lot fatter then, I was a lot stronger. This time around, I plan to have the diet right which I feel will make a big difference. I don’t really mind if I gain a little fat, but I do not want to be as fat as I was in the pictures you saw of me a while back.

Im the “other guy” lol ill tell ya what jake you post a video with you doing all 102 pullups and ill watch the whole thing and publicly apologize
maybe im just nuts and you’re a lot stronger than me…
Jake, I’ll level with ya.
You might actually have done those pullups. It’s a very real possibility assuming you have undergone certain training. As Contrl and 5.0 will admit, during recruit training, you do hundreds of them a day. But then again, you’re in top shape when that’s being done.
I don’t see ya doing it, but I’ll give ya the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Oh yeah, since you’re running a lower dose of test, it wouldn’t hurt you at all to run it an extra two weeks.

I know people go a little over board on form too sometimes. I think if most people just used a little common sense, they would be alright. You see strong powerlifters on youtube get ripped a new asshole by a lot of people on the discussions. They know what they are doing most of the time, and sure their form might not be “textbook,” so to say.
Right ass cheek is still hurting! Still no bruising whatsoever, but it still feels as if someone laid down a good sock to my ass. I bruise really easily. hell, you could touch me somewhat hard with your finger, and I would be bruised the next day. That is what it feels like right now, except there is no bruise in sight. It is definitely something I can live with for the time being, but I assume this will go away in a few days?

I’ll take this into consideration once week 10 rolls around.
wtf? how is doing that many pull ups hard to believe? anyone who doesn’t suck complete ass at chin ups could pull that off. i didn’t really read the whole thread so i might have missed something.
Its not so much the pull up that I think most here have the issue with.
Jake needs to develop some sort of well thought out program in order to get the results from this cycle that he would like.
Training half assed like you are now will get you half assed results. Sure you made progress before, but just how much more progress could you have made. You dont want to look back at this cycle and wonder just how much more you could of got out of it.
Well, you’re right lillguy. I don’t want to look back and regret this cycle. This is why I have gone back to a type of training I have done in the past that has given me the most results out of any program I have ever done in the shortest amount of time.
However your still overlooking the fact that there are many of us on here that are much more experienced with weight training/bodybuilding than yourselves.
The way we train and what works for us has taken years to develop. This knowledge is something we are trying to pass on to you. However you seem to be too stubborn to take it.
If you dont want to take advantage of any programs that many of us would lay out for you, then take the advice to grab one of CTs programs and go with that. Ride one of those through the end of your cycle and I can practically guarantee you the results will be better than something you can come up on your own.
