It's Who You Listen To

One thing Tate said that a lot of folks are overlooking in that video: He said “If you want to be where they (successful lifters) are, then do what they DID.” Too many people do what they top guys do NOW, which is wrong. Learn what they did to get where they are, not what they are necessarily doing now. Its different.[/quote]

its usually not all that different though. but i know exactly what youre saying. like whats working for me now isnt what i did a year ago. but for the most part guys train w/ the basics most bodybuilders use the same principals, some drop sets, ~45 mins in the gym, light cardio, heavy weight 6-8 reps. youll never see a pro say “i do 5 working sets of 23 reps and i train chest with hamstrings and back with quads”

I saw one Kroc video where he demonstrated his brand of chin-ups for rhomboid/lower trap overload. He mentioned below the video that some internet people were giving him flak for not using the full range of motion. I remember thinking, “Unless you’re Kroc’s size, you shouldn’t be saying anything to him.”

Listen to Dave. YOu can’t go wrong by listening to the big/strong guys. They all got there the same way: persistence, progressive overload, nutrition…

Yeah…I’ve made it my personal mission to go to EVERY big lift vid and add something along those lines (It’s funny how you’re telling a guy who obviously knows what he’s doing how to train, etc.) I’ve got a LOT of work to do =(

I think this needs a bump
