Now that is cool. I grew up on 80’s West Coast punk but I can reach back for the 70’s stuff too.

Kids are great like that. My son loves to dance too. Funny how we all lose that once we become more aware of ourselves and more self conscious.

big fan of the west coast stuff as well, bands like Adolescents, Battalion of Saints, Suicidal Tendencies, Youth Brigade etc were kind of what got me started.

kind of a forced deload tonight, feeling pretty beat up from last week. plus I puked half way through squats, bad mix of my last meal and pre work out supplement I guess

Yoke bar box squat 65 x 10, 155 x 10, 245 x 5, 335 x 3, puke, then add briefs 425 x 1, add rev band 515/565/605/655 x 1. all easy. this mono is cut low, so the bands really don’t do much. still will probably run a cycle of these over next few weeks

no briefs, no bands 425 x 10

circuit:
cable abs
leg ext
leg curl
calves
rev hyper

3 x 10-15 each

prowler 90lb x 40yrd x 10

Throwing up is good for the soul…errrr, it builds character. Something like that anyway.

I guess you do like West Coast punk since you’re a Social D fan and all. I also really like Eddie and the Subtitles (American Society) and Rikk Agnew (O.C. Life).

Pete, strong work, as usual.

Two big thumbs up for West Coast Hardcore. I was weened on bands like the Adolescents, Agent Orange, Angry Samoans, Bad Religion, RKL, 7 Seconds, the Descendents, Dr. Know, Youth Brigade, Black Flag, DK, MDC, D.R.I., and the Melvins, to name of few.

went and saw Youth Brigade a couple of years back. despite a life of drugs and drinking Sean Stern and his brothers look nearly exactly like they did in the early 80s. fuggers

In my youth I was a stage-divin’ motherf*cker. Good times.

Hell. Yes.

decided to do some old school volume training to try and stimulate a little bit while being safe on my shoulder

lytp, pullaparts, rotations

football bar floor press 10 x 10 w/205, 30-60 sec rest

neutral grip db inclines 60s/70s/80s/90s x 15

laterals 10 x 10 w/25s

overhead extension 10 x 10

rope down/ext 3 x 15 each

v grip pulldown 5 x 10-15
face pulls 5 x 10-15

dbell bench 40s x 50

god I miss benching heavy

I like the volume here Pete! I know what you mean about getting under the heavier stuff though.

old school eca stack then

stepper 25 minutes
elliptical 20 minutes
calves 3 set

won’t stop sweating until midnight at this rate

roll/stretch later

pullin’

stretch, roll

hlr 3 x 10

low rack pulls (2 inch elevation or so) warm ups then 415/505/555/595 + 200 in chains x 3. last one was fugly, lockout not quite there, but it was 800lbs

rdls 325/415/505 x 6

db shrugs 3 x 12-15
ab wheel 3 x 10

leg press 4 x 12-15

ghr 3 x 10

felt a little off, also rib wiggled out at some point, realized this when doing the leg presses. it was literally jutting out and I could feel it driving home.

the rib sounds like a major pain in the ass. training still looks pretty awesome despite the owie.

What kills me is how much weight you move DESPITE your impairments. 800 lb. is just such a massive amount of weight.

treadmill incline 10 min
stepper 20 min
elliptical 20 min

lever pulldowns 7 x 8-12

db rows 100s x 10, 130s x 10, 150s x 10, x 8

csr 3pl/4pl/5pl x 10

ez curl 6 x 8-10

machine curl 6 x 12-15

dbell curl 50s x 15

bench 115 x 40 plan is to keep adding 20lbs per week until I am actually benching again.

prowler 90lb x 40yrd x 10, wet pavement was very grippy and made this much more sucky than usual

Hows the shoulder rehab coming along?

Are you getting massaged as well?

Last but not least what about high doeses of MSM like 15grms a day? I am at 9grms a day for my shoulder/neck and knees and pain is really lessening, worth a shot.

really wanted to be a lazy POS today, but peeled myself out of the recliner and managed a couple of hours of yard work then

elliptical 30 min

shoulder rehab stuff

foam roll, stretch

ice

only managed one massage so far, but lots of stretching. pain pretty minimal most of the time, which is a good sign, and my rom is improving

Raw Spud strap suspended SSB Anderson low box squat 65 x 10, 155 x 10, 245/335/425/475/525 x 3. fairly large PR on these. main reason these were done today is because there was not even someone to run the mono, so I improvised, think that is what I got for a single last time.

circuit:

hack squat 4 x 8-10
cable abs 4 x 8-10
calves 4 x 12-15
rev hyper 4 x 8-10

prowler 90lb x 40yrd x 4, 140lb x 40yrd x 6

Sunday yard work is making my allergies flair up something fierce for Monday’s, in a fog all day.
