Cool. Will you do full meet?

not to be a smart ass, Karen, but reread my post

Owning the record and trying to beat it is literally having your cake and eating it too.

If I recall, your deadlift is 700+? What’s your record and weight class, and do you have any competitors on the horizon? That said, what’s the world record hint hint…

was supposed to do a lot more conditioning/cardio, however spend a lot of time bullshitting before I got started, then realized my ipod wasn’t working, so did the minimum and got out

Today decided to swap out my DE squat work for some raw pulls from the floor to see where I am at. Most of the group was deloading for Relentless so seemed like a good time to do it.

Raw pulls: 145 x 10, x 5, x 5, 235 x 5, 325 x 3, 415 x 1, 505 x 1, 595 x 1, 655 x 1, 715 x 1 for 10 lb pr, first time pulling a single in almost a year, felt quick and easy

ghr 4 x 10
hlr 4 x 10

rev hyper 3 x 8

Great PR.

Damn nice PR. 715 is a nice number to pull. Do you think you have another 5 or 10 pounds in you for another PR dead?

Strong pull Pete. I seem to remember your meet write up last year was a pull of around 670, if that’s right 715 is a big move up in less than a year.

Friday:

Prowler, outside 90lb x 40yrd x 12

rolling, stretching

Saturday:

rotator/mobility work

rev band bench warm ups then 365 x 3, 405 x 1, 465 x miss, 465 x 1, 405 x 6

bent row 3 x 20 w/225

dbell bench 3 x 20 w/90s

rolling tris 3 x 8 w/80s

ropedown/ext 4 x some

face pulls, cable front raise 3 x some

then drove down to Relentless, saw some good friends lift, great event

I got my second attempt of 679, but tore my hand wide open. I had gotten 705 in the gym, no go at meet with torn hand. By all indicators I should be good around 740 this year.

740 would be huge- even more impressive considering all of the injuries you’ve had to work through.

Yesterday

Felt pretty beat up, but wanted to get lower stuff out of the way. Kept it at the assistance level really

leg press 7 x 10

leg ext 5 x 12

shrug on ‘deadlift’ machine 4 x 15

back ext 5 x 10

seated leg curl 5 x 10-15

hammer strength preacher 5 x 10

cable abs some x some

Pete, sorry to hear about the job. I went thru the same thing last summer with being laid off. Keep the faith.

Had some friends lifting at Relentless this year but I wasn’t able to make it up there.

Have had some nasty stomach thing brewing all day, mostly stress induced I think. Training ended up very shitty (ha ha) because of it. Still made it through the essentials.

rotator and mobility work

DE bench 205 + 110 in chains, cranked the chains so they were all off the floor this week, was fucking brutal in comparison 8 x 3

rev grip bench 3 x 6 w/275

close grip incline 3 x 10 w/225

pressdowns 5 x 10
laterals 5 x 10

will need to squeeze in a good ol back and bi day to even shit out this week

was sick as hell yesterday, again stress induced. pretty sure I have resurrected ulcers issues that I thought I had combatted ten years ago. after talking with wife and consulting the ever ever intelligent internet that is where I am leaving it at. if shit gets worse will go to er, thankfully I have insurance until may 1

tonight did the following

DE squat to low box, 375 + 120 chains 8 x 2

DE pulls, fat squat bar against quadded minis 6 x 3 w/315

rev hyper 5 x 8

hlr 5 x 8

Sorry for the stress.

Great pulls! Just love your strength. So gifted.
