It's Log!

Stupid drama makes me all moody and self-absorbed. I hope it’s taken care of for a while.

Oh I also want to note a couple of things:

  • I started taking creatine a couple of days ago and we’ll see how that works out. I eat a lot of steak and whole chicken and lots of meat so it probably won’t do much but we’ll see.
  • the last few weeks I resumed taking fish oil - HUGE difference
  • I’ve increased carbs before my workouts and during and protein powder too. The powder I use in my shakes is almost identical to MD but it has less sweetener and costs way more. I’d use MD if I could handle the taste of the sweetener
  • I have been having epsom salt baths regularly, at least every morning

Things are working really well with strength and progress so I thought I’d note them.

I’m sorry shit had to get to that level…but you know what? it happens. we are human and there are complete bastards mixed in with us as well that we have to deal with.

As for wt’s…now 135 x20 squats is some vengeance! GRRRR!!! I hope the drama ebbs, its no fun when its at work…

oh no! That doesn’t sound like a good situation at all :frowning: i’m so sorry that happened! Do you have someone you can meet up with and go to work with together?

I’ll probably just drive. I think he’ll back off for awhile but then again he’s not sane. I’d like to confirm he has though. A couple of friends want to follow behind me to work and see if he’s still around but I know that cannot end well, because they won’t admit it but they’re looking to give him a tune-up and want an excuse, and then get themselves arrested.

Workout part deux! This may become a regular thing during the playoffs. My morning squat ‘therapy’ made my legs a bit tired. By bit I mean they were pretty tired lol. I think I need to do these more frequently. I’m not getting much better at them.

Also: all afternoon my calves and butt were complaining because of my silly high rep squats yesterday but some rolling after work and that was alright again. But I think I know where I got my big calves from since I used to do nothing but high rep, atg squats. I never would have thought it would be a calf exercise.

My shoulder is kind of weird. It is totally fine for snatches and cleans & jerks, but it was a bit irritated getting set up for my back squats, and picking up light stuff and I have trouble getting out of a sports bra. Well, at least it doesn’t seems to be a issue for lifting.

I have to get more comfortable doing that I think. That was 85 lbs.

One of my jerks; 125 lbs felt really heavy. The jerks are almost always easier than the clean. My elbows just REFUSE to swing up snappy like. I’ve been trying! Just not fast enough. I might have to work on mobility some more.

that was a very nice miss behind. i get a bit scared i’ll land on my ass and the bar will crash down on my head, but i guess you get used to getting out of the way. you made it look easy, anyway :slight_smile: nice training. hope your dramas resolve ok.

Thanks! I still don’t like it but I will push to do it more. it seems like a good confidence builder. That’s only the second time I’ve done that but getting out of the way was really automatic. I’m glad I’ve been doing those shoulder dislocates.
