Its 'bout that Time

Most people would do one of those workouts and be happy with themselves. That you do both is insane. haha.
5 circuits including an 800m (1/2 mile) run? Insanity. Guess that’s how you’re so lean? lol. Nice work in here!

Spook—why thank you!

Cal—I sleep like a BRICK at night and generally kind of listen to my body. A lot of times it just needs a little kick, and sometimes I have to take it easy. I will say that lately I have been going bananas. The tabata was BRUTAL!

Blaze–!!! good to see you in these parts! Im not sure I would call myself “so lean” but its definitely a big component to why my life is a good life. Where in Illinois are you?

Today today today…todays workout was not as bad as it sounds, but it was a little all over the place. It was also done outside, which was nice. Its good to change the environment up a little.
Warmup

25 tire flips
3x 100m sprints
50 pushups
3x 200m sprints
75 squat jumps
3x 400m sprints
100 situps
3x 200m sprints
100 lunges
3x 100m sprints

cooldown
stretch

It was pretty hot outside, but about halfway through it started sprinkling which felt nice. Finished up, and im currently still trying to get in the fluids I lost. Whew! I had a friend jump in on this one with me and he fared pretty well considering he is NOT a sprinter (power-lifter)

Looked into housing where I am going to live and I think I have found a place thats pretty close to the training complex I will be working at. Im going to go check it out tomorrow and see if I can secure that somehow. My research at my current job is coming to a close, which is really exciting for me! As soon as its all finished (maybe two more weeks of in-lab stuff) I can start rolling out of Illinois. Better yet, no more 3:30am wake ups on M/W/F to get a workout in. Yaaaay!!!

I love your log. It’s so inspiring to me. I’m going to gush again. What an incredible, well-conditioned, and disciplined athlete you are. 3:30 am wakeup call! Awesome.

Nadia! You are the best. I meant to tell you: I went to a gymnastics pit yesterday and tried some of the craziness you have posted…and wound up in the foam pit most of the time. lol I settled for jumping on the trampoline, but it was oddly therapeutic. I wish I had gotten into gymnastics as a kid. Such a good skill to be so aware of your body. Hats off to you

Haha. Don’t kid yourself, you’re lean. lol. And yeah, that’s understandable. I need to add more cardio-type training in, I’ve been doing just lifting for a long time.
I’m in Edwardsville, going to SIUE.

Blaze–Nice! Currently, we are kinda neighbors! Im in Belleville until colleges start back up

you really are awesome.

I’m hoping for some good news at my PT appointment next week. I really want to do sprinting again and fun(pukey) things such as yourself!

faints

Random shit on my mind…

  1. Im not even sure how my quads got so jacked up. I have a million knots in BOF OF DEM! I was rushing around recently and knocked into the side of a table and have a huge bruise on the side of my leg that is pretty painful so when i’m foam rolling im super nervous about going anywhere near it. BOO for clumsy Dash.

  2. Visualization techniques. Lately I have been utilizing this a lot during my lifting and even during my cardio. I spend a pretty good portion of my prep time imagining successful lifts and I think, honestly, it works. So much of training is mental. This is, of course, good for the most part. A lot of times, though, I wake up and am just tired and there is no shaking that feeling. Always leads to a sub-par workout.

  3. Moving is coming right a long. I signed a lease on an apartments and am considering buying a house. We will see. Two more weeks of being a lab nerd, then its back to being a professional gym rat…err…coach.

  4. Must…stop…eating…so…much…food.

  5. Today is a rest day and it kills me. However, I know that if I dont take my rest days, then halfway through next week, I will be a slug during my workouts. I just feel weird and fidgety. It makes me wonder what people do when they tell me they have never been to a gym.

Heh, I’m resting today and I also feel fidgety. I’m tired and sore so I need it, but I feel vaguely guilty as well.

As for the eating, maybe you need a little Post-it like the one I have stuck to my wall.

hahahahahahahaha…okay. Cal, you just made my day.

Does going out for a walk count??

Cal verbally abusing herself…not sure if I should laugh or give her a hug.

We will hug her, but we wont let her eat.

This is the T-Nation support group.

Heh heh, I verbally abuse myself all the time. I usually refer to myself as “fuckhead” when talking to myself.
