when I decided strength was my main goal a year ago, and focused on it, my gains went through the roof. Doesn’t mean you can’t do it with cardio - but the journey will be slower.

Squats felt good, movement wise. No weight PR, but whatever. I can dig it. Rome wasnt built in a day.
I threw some arm work in the mix because I have pretty unimpressive arms. lol
Bottom-to-bottom tabata squats were special. Its your standard tabata protocol (20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest for four minutes) however, at the 10 second “rest portion” you hold the bottom part of an active squat (as opposed to squatting down into a seated position and taking tention off the muscles) I had a friend time these for me/make sure i didnt cut corners.
So…its liiiiike
20 seconds of body weight squats
10 second hold at bottom
20 seconds of bodyweight squats
10 second hold at bottom
etc…
If you are ever crunched on time and want a quick fuck-my-life moment, i recommend these. NO rest between the squats and the hold…this should suck

That workout would put me in hospital! Your recovery must be very good to be able to do that the day after doing intervals. The tabata sounds brutal.
