We missed your puke worthy workouts around here! Welcome back, I’m glad things have normalized again.

Oleena—tell me about it. I took a little time off (and oddly gained no bodyfat) from this type of stuff recently. A couple of weeks ago, I found myself getting winded about a frakking set of 10 squats. I racked the bar and promised myself that I would get my cardiovascular system back up to par. It was a fun break, but im ready for speedy Dash!

Patch—thank you, lady! I’m glad life has calmed down. Such a better pace. I just gotta perfect the working out/eating on the road.

Question: does anyone else have the a problem dieting when traveling? I can prep prep prep all day for travels, and the minute I go into a gas station, I get a weird sense of entitlement to crap food! It’s like I’m on vacation mode. Ugh. I survived today, but I gotta reel it in. I cant just not travel.


For me it has alot to do with which WOE i’m following. Low cal obvi well hella hard to maintain while travelling. High fat paleo much easier! Or eeven fake fucking paleo which means nuts and beef jerkey and whey protein shakes, yeah i just made thag WOE up. And for me its got to be zero sugar ever ever ever ever.

I have this issue as well. I drive alot, so I end up feeling almost entitled when I am on the road. A trick I use is to have a meal at home right before I leave, so at least I am good for a few hours on the road. I try to grab a small bag of almost or cashews if I have to eat, and then pound some water. It isn’t too sexy I know, but hey you gotta roll with the punches right ?

I hate hate hate hate the traveling portion of my job!! (WARNING: rant!) all my weekends are full of weekend traveling. I get up, work 6am-2pm and then immediately jet to the airport. Upon arrival, I am immediately suspected terrorist and get the extra pat down. Then I spend hours of flight terror with the guy that usually goes with me. Perfectly nice fella, we just have nothing in common and the motherfucker is as big as a house. So he spills over into my chair the whole time. Of course he thinks this is wildly hilarious. A few trips ago, something got all screwed up and we had to share a hotel room together one night!!! OF COURSE HE SNORES LIKE A BEAR and coach Dashie gets NO sleep! Luckily the problem was rectified the next day and we even got a slap on the wrist for not calling our higher ups and getting the situation fixed immediately. Trust me, if I never have to be subject to this guys pre-hibernation rituals again, that’s perfectly okay. I usually am very good about waking up very early and catching a workout somewhere close by. However, I run the risk of tuckering myself out and sucking at any practical work we might have to do during whatever work shop we are in. Whatever. First things first! Then I get home late on Sunday and have no time to recoop before back to work on Monday.errrrr. Some people ROCK at weekend travel. I just am NOT one of them. I’m thankful for the opportunities and professional development i get, but wish traveling was a little less hectic.

Whateva! I was helllllla sick Sunday-Tuesday but caught a workout yesterday and today. In order to bring consistent cardio back, I’m ramping down volume. Also: lost 5lbs being sick!!! Yeah! Lulz

Unrelated: I went to go get my hair colored…my stylist is fab and I don’t even tell her what I want done, she just knows. She is on maternal leave and left detailed notes on all her clients so we could use another person if necessary. I went in, gave her my name, she pulled a client file out and went to work on my hair…

You know where this is going, right?

She pulled my sisters file. My sister dyes her hair jet black. I didn’t even think to clarify until it was too late. I keep mine dark, but not black.
