I’m just west of Denver along 285, Conifer Mountain. We only ended up with about 15 inches of wet heavy snow. Took me 2 hours this morning to snow blow and shovel the driveway. It’s bright and sunny now. Gotta love the moisture though after this dry winter.

Been really warm here but we’ve been having downpours and been under Tornado watches all day. Ain’t Spring time just great?

Beautiful and sunny about 65 degrees here by the beach.

Guess the bike will have to wait a couple days.

time to ski for the next few days

Skied at Breckenridge today. 16 runs down the mountain. My ski legs came back quite well and man are they fried now. Going to try to do it again tomorrow.

Didn’t ski today, the predicted winds were too high for me to drive 90 minutes and be miserable.

Yeah, yeah…we all know your by the beach, now go ride a dolphin or something…I mean, take care, train hard…enjoy the snow up there.

I remember those winds. They would actually push our bed away from the wall an inch or so when I was in Wondervu.

Sumo deadlift form is looking great.Your hand placement is on the money.Keep hammering away dog!Have fun in the snow.

Thanks Jimmy - It will probably be Friday before I get to have fun in the snow. They are calling for -8 degrees F wind chill tomorrow but the good news is that the ski areas are still getting more snow.

We had a couple more inches of snow at the house today so I got to do my GPP work scraping off the packed down tire tracks. It turns to ice this time of year if it stays on the drive.

Shoot! - That’s been every snow this year - people forget how slick it is when we don’t have snow every couple of days during the winter.

Bike 10 min
Shldr rehab & YTWL 5#x15reps ea
Box Squat barx10, 95x10, 115x5, 135x5, 155x5, 175x3, 195x3/3/3/3/3

Planks front 60sec, sides 35 sec
Frog crunches
Bike 25 min

This was a whiny joint day. Shoulders, elbows and knees all were whining.

Nice squats. From an oly lifters viewpoint, I would try to keep the back angle even more stable. First two reps were perfect, third had a little leaning forward. But good tight arch on all reps.

Good job Soldog. When the elbows start oscillating back and forth like that, it means that the body is trying to lean it’s way off the box and counterbalancing with the arms rather than squeezing with the behind to get off the box, which is why meat notes that on all our squats. Very little oscillation on those.

Thanks Carl - I did feel that during the last rep. I think I lost a little focus and didn’t start up with the chest, also lost a little tightness of my hands and arms on the bar.

Thanks skid - I’m finding that the more I can focus on getting the feeling of bending the bar across my back, the more I can keep my elbows stable and chest up and out.

I do wonder if I’m bending forward too much.

The squat is a big head game and it can go either way.If you focus on your technique and set up you can get away from the mind game of the weight.I think your box squats look fine. You have a great self motivated quality training at home by yourself.Keep hitting it brother.Great work.
