Holyshit do you even?

Everyone knows you dont train biceps seriously unless you hit every strand and fiber of each head.

Good work Chris.

YUH YUH!! gangsta hug really aggressive like but still friendly

Paused Bench:
45 5x
95 5x
135 5x
185 5x
225 5x
275 2x
275 2x
275 3x
275 3x Was the crappy commercial gym bench. Just wanted to get more practice with form.

Touch and Go Bench:
225 10x

I’m not sure if it’s due to illness or weight loss or both, but regardless my strength has abandoned me. It was only a couple weeks ago I did 315 for 3 paused and an easy 295 for 4 paused. Now even 275 feels heavy if I’m honest. I must find a way to regain my power.

Bench Machine:
4 sets of 10

'Nother Bench Machine:
4 sets of 10

At this point in the workout I decided to do what I call “Do more than the biggest guy you just saw on that machine” training.

Shoulder Machine:
2.5pps 5x
3pps 6x
2.5 pps 8x
2.5 pps 8x

A Third Bench Machine:
3 sets of 8

Incline Bench Machine:
2pps 5x
2.5pps 5x
2pps 8x

That was it. I looked for some tricep machines, but remarkably there were none, and that was about all the impetus I needed to leave at that point. I was pretty demoralized. Surely my strength will return. You can’t really lose strength that quickly can you?

One month ago:

Currently:

My strength comes and goes even if there are no other variables; diet, illness, etc.
It’s safe to assume your recent illness reduced your strength a bit.
It will return.
I still marvel at your frequency, volume and weights, even if you’re feeling “weak”.

Seems like a good time to bring up 365 bench race

becoming more of a marathon !

Longest period of vexation in history.

Indeed. This should not be. I’m going to try some caloric explosion to see if I can’t rise from this shame. I tell my body when it can and cannot feel strong, not the other way around goddammit!

A dominant r-brain could actually be useful for strength. Can’t say the same for technique though.

Awe, Fry, you’re strength will come back, don’t you fret !

Here’s what my brain is telling me Spock-> “Chris, you lost 10 pounds of pure muscle and all your strength. You will never get it back.”

Squat:
45 5x
135 5x
185 5x
225 5x
275 3x
315 2x
365 1x
add wraps
385 1x
385 2x Was a decent enough double, but felt pretty hard, which means I’m still down a lot of strength. I think my best double in wraps is 405, and that was quite a ways back. Hell I hit 425 without wraps a couple months ago.

Olympic Squats:

When you preface your squats with the word ‘Olympic’ I just picture you in a red white and blue singlet with this look on your face like “fuck yea”.

So did you just end up settling on eating a couple pounds of nuts a day?

[quote]LoRez wrote:

No I had it figured out eventually between ground beef, avocados, and sweet potatoes. But as of a couple days ago I had cut out all the supposed bad things for several weeks, and I felt no different. In fact I felt worse. My asthma showed zero improvement, I was sick as hell, and I had lost a bunch of weight and strength that I still can’t regain. Now I wasn’t expecting much, but if I’m going to restrict my diet it had better do something.

No, two days ago I decided to fuck off with that. I ate 4000 calories of taco bell, and did the same thing the next day. And you know what? I feel fuckin amazing. I’m still going to track my diet, but I’m eating the shit out of dairy and grains. Cutting those out not only didn’t help anything, I just felt worse all together.

It’s a bit of a necessary tribulation I guess. Now at least I am pretty motivated to track my diet for the first time ever. Right now I’m trying to go with about 3500 calories at 250p/400c/100f, although I am pretty tempted to lower the protein to like 180 and make it up with fat. I think 1g per pound is, in reality, overkill.

I even got a food scale. This morning I ate exactly 100g of Captain Crunch (and a protein shake). I used 500g of milk which I estimated to convert to around 17.5oz. And for lunch I had 170g of couscous.

That’s science.

hey csulli, have you heard anything about this Kade Webber kid, I got sent a video of him deadlifting 700x10, fuck, he trains a couple hour’s from me with Nera, and I’ve never heard of him until an hour ago, but he’s got vids up around the web. There’s lots of impressive guys, but this kids only 23, I think. Anyway thought you might want to look up the 700x10 vid, since he’s around your age, might fire ya up.

Where are all these raw monster’s coming from lately, I think he might have competed in the RUM meet this past weekend, but I can’t seem to find any results anywhere, mabey you have a link.

I was planning to go up, and train at Nera’s gym this summer, but now I’m almost looking more forward to seeing this kid lift, than Jay Nera, either way now I’m going for sure. later

plus 800x3, just watched

Oh yeah I’ve heard of that monster before.

TnG Deadlifts:
135 5x
225 5x
315 3x
405 1x
455 1x

485 3x
485 3x

Paused Bench Press:
135 5x
185 5x
225 5x
275 5x

I know it isn’t bench day, but I have been mentally weak lately with my illness and weight loss and strength levels. I told myself “Either I am going to do an easy set of 5 paused with 275 on bench right now, or I’m not doing that fucking powerlifting meet.”

And I did it, and it was fine. So I think my strength is mostly back now, and I will still do the meet.

Hyperextensions:
2 sets of 10 w/ 65lbs behind the head
2 sets of 20 w/ BW

Pullups:
3 sets of 15

Chest Supported DB Rows:
100’s for 3 sets of 8

Did some prowler rows with blast straps for a few trips of about 75ft or so

EZ Bar Curls:
70 10x
70 10x
70 10x
70 10x
70 10x
70 10x
70 10x
70 15x
70 15x
70 15x

In regards to your nutrition/eating post…when I was “bulking” and eating whatever the hell I wanted, chocolate milk, McDonalds, fruity pebbles, and donuts I felt amazing. Now that I’m actually counting everything and eating “good” foods for me I feel like shit.
