Well I don’t know who all’s in the race, but Jed and I are probably pretty close on dip strength. Mahwah can already do 5 plates lol. And spar4tee for now is concealing his power level, although I strongly suspect he is ahead of us. It’s gonna be tougher than I thought to get to 225.
I’m just like watching this dip madness happen from the sidelines LMAO.
The set up and prep for a dip with that many plates under your waste looks like a piss drunk guy preparing to stand up after he fell over.
Sorry, didn’t see anything except the chick in the background.
Your gym’s music is so much better than mine
I get the same feeling when I dip, deep inner chest burn at when I squeeze out the lockout. I don’t do them much since the bottom position really bothers one of my shoulders, but I might see what I can get tonight.

Chris… that’s not 5 plates…
To be honest I was thinking I might be able to make it all the way to 5 yesterday, but after how heavy my rep with 180 felt, I decided I would just try to hit 205. Barely got that. It’s gonna take some time to build up that last 20lbs.

I’m going to push you.

Lol I should have seen that coming.
She’s alright. Also your dip station is way less safe than mine lol. I recommend a slower descent. That’s how I do it.

It’s also extremely unstable
Good stuff! I’m a bit curious about the load capacity of that dip station, it doesn’t look very robust.
I think you’re a bit ahead of me on dip strength. When we did 135 amrap I had one exercise with 3 working sets before dips and you had enough exercises to kill a normal man leading up to yours.
This is my deload week but, screw it, I’m going to have to give 4 plates a shot and go from there.
Edit: I decided to forego dips tonight since I’m still sore from my last chest workout. I’ll get it next week!
18" Deadlift:
135 5x
225 3x
315 3x
405 3x
495 2x
585 1x
605 1x Didn’t feel too bad. Probably the first time I’ve ever gone above 600 on a legitimate lift.
545 4x
Atlas Stones over 48" Bar:
Did 3 sets of 6 with the 240lb stone
First set was a total shit show. Banged my chin a couple times; once to the point where I wondered if I had knocked out a tooth. I might need to start warming up with a light stone, because it feels like it takes me one set just to get my groove on these. Last two sets were great though.
Log Press out of the rack:
135 5x
155 3x
175 3x
185 2x
195 1x
155 5x
155 5x
Farmer’s Walk:
195 per hand for 3 walks of some distance I dunno. They were fast though.
I tell ya what, strongman training beats you up. Like powerlifting is hard and shit can get real heavy, but it’s still just clean, basic barbell lifts. With all this strongman training I’ve got bruises all up and down my arms and legs and chest and scrapes and whatever else. Looks like I’m in fight club or some shit.

Thanks for the motivation video man!

Yeah not the best lol. It’s like the dip equivalent of squatting on a bosu ball.

The inside rim of the log where the handles are on the one I train with is terribly rough. If you don’t wrap your wrists, you will bleed, and alot. My wrists are just scarred to the point where I look like I was once a chronic cutter. Have you ever used tacky?
Also, warm up with stones by stacking up some plates and just deadlifting them.
Like a bad fucking dream, that just won’t stop, every time I think I’m gaining ground on you, I flip over to your log, and see more insane shit. I haven’t even had time to set up my belt and dip station to see where I’m at, and then I see your incline workout, the one area I knew for sure I had you beat was overhead strength, and now your doing 5x5 with 235, LOL I’m almost ready to throw in the towel, and find soemone else to do strength challanges with, like a 12 year old Send me some of that water where you live. The guy from that bad X men movie ‘‘Jugernaut’’ jus keeps smashing through shit.
Anyway nice work on the inclines, I hadn’t noticed you getting that strong on inclines, is this somthing new ? Because inclines are my go to exercise when I’m trying to bring up my bench, but I’m going to start keeping secrets to myself, cause you don’t need any, as long as you have that Tennessee watter, I guess ! Good stuff Latter
