It Vexes Me. I'm Terribly Vexed

12/14/2013

After the meet we got some food and then went over to a nearby World Gym and lifted a bit.

Bench:
45 20x
135 10x
185 5x
225 5x
255 5x
275 3x
225 15x
225 10x

EZ Bar Curls:
90lbs for 4 sets of 10

Rope Pushdowns:
4 sets of 10-12, drop set on the last set with 3 drops

Sounds like you had a lot of fun! That 56 year olds deadlift is extremely impressive. Post your videos soon!

On a side note, does anyone know what happened to DSSG? His log has been deleted and he hasn’t posted here in awhile. I ask because he posts quite a bit in your log Chris.

Good job Fry. 550 will fall sooner than later. Work on your lockout, plz. PLz…

Anyway, vidz ploz.

Yay for PRs!

DSSG was talking about how he’d slagged off Biotest, then his post had been deleted. He mentioned it in his log, and on a couple of other threads (don’t know if those posts will still be around). Pretty much he was just saying “If you don’t hear from me, it’s cos they’ve deleted me”, and I guess they did.

He was planning to log on another website (no, not the good one, the other one) using the same log title.

We also met Orlando Green, super nice guy as well. He pulled around 840lbs at a bodyweight of 242. Quincy he uses the EXACT same form as you. He warms up though. Warm up plz.

LOL Yeah will do.

What’s up?

Csulli, spartie, why don’t you visit my log? :frowning:

Little Bro’s been kicked out, thats to bad, I tried, but couldn’t find him, on the other site, he had said on his log where he’d be if this happened. Anyway whats going on with the bench C’s, are you doing a reboot after the meet, or just taking an easy day, i haven’t been around for awhile, so I’m not up to date with your training as of late, good day !

Anytimejake, the log is up with the correct name.

Just read back a couple pages, nice work at the meet bro, meeting big Steve G would have been pretty cool, but vids or it didn’t happen  latter

Way to go buddy! Sounds like a good time.
AND LOL at lifting after!!

Csullinator fashion, comps aren’t enough volume for his liking. Lifts after the meet lol, awesome glad it went well.

Thanks everyone!

And yea Jake I was just havin a light bench day after the meet. Although I don’t think 225 for 15 on that slippery little commercial gym bench was too shabby

Well the meet went okay. Opened at 225kg. Hit my second easily at 240kg/530lbs for a 30lb meet PR! I got 250kg/550lbs about halfway up and then gravity doubled or something I dunno. Just got stuck and couldn’t lock it out. Might could have gotten it if I’d gotten my mind right, but I’m not sure. Physically I was feeling as good as ever so no excuses.

Was an amazingly fun time though. I’ll post pictures and vids later. We met Vince Urbank. That is one scary looking full bearded 6’6" 300lb man. He’s extremely nice though. His 909lb pull got red lighted for all the shaking I guess, but imo it was a good lift, and by far the biggest pull I’ve ever seen in person. They had to manually lift up the ends of the barbell in addition to using the deadlift jack to load all the plates, because the bar was bent so much the ends didn’t even come off the ground.

We also met Orlando Green, super nice guy as well. He pulled around 840lbs at a bodyweight of 242. Quincy he uses the EXACT same form as you. He warms up though. Warm up plz.

Steve Goggins was a very nice, down to earth fella in person. Was a real pleasure to meet him. We also met this man whom you probably haven’t heard of named Tee “Skinny Man” Meyers. He competed single ply, but he freakin pulled 711 @ 198 at the age of like 56! Also of note he is literally the funniest person alive. He was cracking up everybody at the meet.

Hopefully I can go again next year, Steve said he wants to keep growing it and make it an annual thing on his birthday.[/quote]

Where was this again? I have been out of it for so long with finals. I have to catch back up with everyone’s logs.

lol of course you ate and lifted after the meet

For god’s sake, I thought we’d gotten rid of the kid 4 years younger than me who out benches me

Nice work, but I never look at the right hand colum, just the weights lifted, 225 for max reps, I thought was a football thing, anyway my mistake. latter

Nice job on the meet PR boss!
