Is the Wii Fit a Good Workout?

First, Its obvias that the Wii fit is not going to be the same as actually going to the gym and hitting the weight,

but I got the thing, and I find myself challenged by some of the things it asks you to do, white some of the things are almost a joke, like exercise where all it asks you to do is breath, but some of them are challening, like doing 50+ pushups while keeping your weight perfectly even between both hands

after playing with it for a few days I find that I am sore in places my normal Gym workouts dont hit well,

and I was wondering if anyone else thinks the thing is worth looking at? Because I think it was money well spent

.

so much

work for

Welcome noob.

That shit is for fat parents to buy their fat kids in hope that they wont look like them when they are their age!

I train 5 days a week. I don’t need another “workout” playing Wii Fit. I have a Wii also. Video games are a time for me to chill.

Then again… Right now I’m playing “Trauma Center: New Blood” and my right forearm hurts like hell. I’m at the last level, I might give my arm a few days rest before I play again. The game is really awesome though.

wii boxing was tiring at times haha

Isn’t wii fit like over 100 bucks, too much money for silly video game honestly.

How heavy is a Wii? Can I do bicep curls with it?

Sometimes I do things that make my forearm hurt too.

Doesn’t this wii fit thing make you stand on it barefoot, then make you put your hands where your greasy feet were and do push ups, putting your face into your greasy, dirty, nasty feet grease?

Because that is disgusting.

I hope you aren’t sharing your wii fit with anyone else’s nasty, crusty, greasy feet. Or at least hit that shit with some Clorox Cleanup between feet usage.

Yeah Mak and you can stand the box upright and stand on it balancing yourself to make your workout more challenging, what do you think?

Wii Fit doesn’t hold a candle to The Insanoflex.

Somebody is a germ-o-phobe! Honestly though, the basis of the thing seems to revolve around balance. Cause nothing burns calories like balancing.

My buddy was telling me how they had to reinforce the board for Americans because we are such fat bastards. The Japanese model would only support up to 225lbs or something.

The fact that this question popped up here as a SERIOUS question frightens me.

Must be opposite day.

Actually, I was considering buying a squat rack to go with it.

Until there’s an adapter which allows for pelvic thrusts for reps (not one BAM! To Failure!) then I’m staying distant.
