First of all…I have read until my eyeballs are about to fall out and still have not found the answer…my question…
I am 5’10" 195lbs, about 15%BF. I want to be between 195 to 205 and about 8%BF…I am not interested in getting completely ripped but want decent cut lines. I am eating soundly, no gear use ever, is it possible to get the mass i want, lose the body fat and keep the weight between 195-200lbs without gear? I mean can I gain that much muscle naturally with heavy lifting? I will post before and after pics…will do whatever…just need guidance on this… PM, post, whatever…Thanks guys
It doesn’t matter. He’s trying to gain about 10lbs of muscle and lose 10lbs of fat. It can be done in a year.
I know most people disagree with this. But I tend to make better muscle gains when comming OFF of a diet. So I would diet down, just below your desired bodyfat, then slowly add muscle back untill you hit your goal.
The reason I find that I make better gains this way is the following. I make strength gains with no real problem during a diet, then after the diet when the calories begin to slowly rise back up, I jack up the volume with my new strength, and the mass just piles on(not literally).
anyway…I am 29 years old for the record. I mistakingly said i was on a “Diet”. I shouldn’t have used that term. In actuallity I have just started eating healthier. By that I mean… I only eat lean meat, fruits, veggies, protein shakes and creatine. My caloric intake is probably around 2000 calories a day. I have been on a similar diet before and started at 212lbs and by the time I got cut I was about 185lbs.
I weighed earlier tonight and am 194. My friend told me the only way to lose the fat and keep mass is to get gear. I dont see why you can’t feed your muscles what they need and cut the fat? Is he right? How much muscle can you gain natrually? I wouldn’t mind staying around the 190-195 mark if I can just get some good cut lines. Not ripped but that good mass with some cut lines. I am not in this to be a body builder but 2 reasons.
heart attacks run rampant in our family so cardio work and nutrition are priorities for me.
I want to look good, feel good.
Is Gear the only way to keep my weight/mass up and cut the fat? Thanks again guys

I know just about anybody who isn’t over 60 and maybe even some of them could do this. I was just curious. I’m 42 and have already done quite bit more in well under a year.

When I was your age I gained over 40 pounds of muscle in under 2 years and at my leanest was at 6 or 7% BF with no enhancement unless you count generous helpings of ephedrine. Go too low on the fat and you will make it very hard on yourself. You’re better off cutting back on your starchy carb intake.
This has been discussed to death on this site, but you don’t have to “get fat” to make good gains. However if you spend your days standing on the scale and worrying about being a bit soft you’ll be here next year asking why your not getting much bigger.

yes I believe its very possible. You need to have a plan …
by this I mean you can’t just say I’m lifting heavy …you workout has to be detailed almost like a blueprint and of course that goes with your eating habit. By eating habit I don’t mean diet…diets is temporary …your habits in this case your eating habits will be with you for the rest of your life…
