The issue is self defense not a man getting drunk and knocking “mom” around. I see it too often where a woman will want to try and fight with a man, yet still expect to be treated like a woman. I used to say i would never hit a woman, but being in the real world changed that. And the day a woman pulls a knife on me is the day she would get shot.Yes, i said shot. As in with a gun. Great thread. X is well on point here. Personally, i have a good temper. Ive taken full blown punches to the face and other areas as well(from women) and i never started any of it.

One of my past girlfriends walked into the gym one day with me and pulled 275 lbs off the floor without ever deadlifting pervious. Its fair to say she can handle herself! While she never hit me (and for that im glad), i know for a fact i would have done something substantial back if she did, if only on principal. For anyone who takes an undeserved beating, your only setting a precedent for future confrontations by being passive(a pussy if im being blunt).

Well she was friends of an ex and she never liked me i never really like her, she was talking shit about me for seriously no reason (she was drunk and I was ignoring her) and then I started talking some shit back, she was getting loud, i then proceeded to make fun of her appearance (disecting her from head to toe i must admit it was not very nice, i probably attacked every insecurity she had from her messed up looking feet, to the hair on her arms, to the size of her nose, shit almost sounded rehearsed) I then looked over at her boyfriend and I said “Hey man curb your dog” she snapped and came at me, she later yelled at her guy for not coming at me, but that guy wouldnt dare fuck with me. I must admit i did completely humiliate her in front of a lot of people I said everything negative about his girl imaginable that nobody ever had the balls to say out loud. I guarantee she cried that night. Im not proud of it though. From her point of you i probably humiliated her to the point where she thought the only way to save face was to swing at me.[/quote]

And i can certainly appreciate the sentiment as i had a very strict up bringing too and im sure alot of guys on this forum were brought up that way also but theres your problem. Its hard wired into you so your not looking at the situation rationally. Simply taking an ass kicking for the sake of it because of a nowadays, extremely suspect rule, is foolish. If your getting attacked and punched to the level that your in pain, wheres the sense in remaining passive? Legalities are an issue of course but the thread discussion isnt focused on that so im not going there.
But imagine a very well built “person” attacks you on the street and their face is completely concealed and waering bikers leathers. They get a couple heavy punches in and nearly floor you. Naturally, you fight back and in this situation you floor them. Good move right? Except on removing the head gear, you find that it was actually a woman who hit like a man(they exist and are quite plentiful). Did you make the right decision and/or did that change as soon as the mask came off?
Lol spoke to a guy about this two days ago. Customer at work tells me a story says he was at the bar and next thing you know his girl is attacked by what he thinks is a man. So he winds up and decks the dude to find out it was a butch lesbo. He was in the right.
When it comes to self defense and protecting loved ones nothing is off limits.
What angers me are girls who automatically think they can hit men because they are women.

And that comment is just stupid. So you’re at a bar. Drunk bitch flips out on you for whatever reason and attacks you. You somehow conquer the adrenaline (which the majority of the population wont) and keep a level head. You grab her arms and take her to the ground so you can restrain/subdue her without injury until authorities arrive…you think her friends, bf, bf’s friends are gonna give a shit that she started it and be thankful that you showed restraint? Hell no, even if they know she started it, they’re are going to defend her and beat your ass. And you’ll be on the ground with both hands occupied. You wont even see the attack coming, let alone be able to defend yourself.
Fuck that. I’d rather knock the bitch on her ass and remain on my feet so I can get my ass out of there. Or, at the absolute least, be able to see her friends or whatever coming for me.
I’d rather have to deal with possible legal ramifications than be beat to an inch of my life…or just outright killed. At least in the first situation you have the hope of the bar having video surveillance or witnesses who accurately saw what happened.
Obviously, this is a last resort anyways. First should be to avoid that situation all together. Second to walk away/talk yourself out of it. But that’s not always an option. And if you’re a stranger, and I don’t know what your capable of, I don’t care how big you are or what sex you are, you’re getting the same treatment. As far as I know, even if you’re a 90 pound woman, you are capable of killing me. A punch to the throat can be just as lethal when thrown by a woman as when thrown by a man.
