Is Anyone Worried That Coronavirus Is Going To Kill Their Gains?

My gym is planning on strongman and conditioning sessions outside in the parking lot, which technically isn’t banned.

I just ordered myself a kettlebell and a weight vest from ironmind, just in case

*Moves everything like 10m outside. Get nae nae’d

Mate I’m having a browse of some stuff and it’s looking like a grand minimum for all the basics. Couple a hundred just for the dumbbells and getting creative with em fml.

Yeah I was looking into powerblock dumbbells but just can’t afford that money right now :man_shrugging:

Time to get functional af

Yeah my gym was like 20 people on Monday, and like 5 every other time

Anyone got ideas for heavy hip hinge/glutes/hams.

I think I will have to buy a pair of adjustable DBs up to 50-60kg each but that’s nothing too crazy to do Romanians or stuff legs with.

I could buy a cheap barbell (still a fair amount though) and throw everything I have on it.

Yes. I am lost on what to do at home. I need some sort of program. I want to get better not “workout”.

You could get a pair of gymnastics rings…

Not as good as weight training, but you should maintain muscle mass using these.

Even if it is a total war peoples will be just afraid to lost their gain aha damn

@dagill2 nevermind government clarified that parking lots are not viable training areas

I did staggered stand RDL, the girl stuff, honestly really nice feeling in the hammies.

Why did that need clarifying? I thought “don’t go near people if you don’t need to” was pretty self explanatory.

Government advice was: 1.5m between you and everyone else, wash hands and sanitise surfaces.

Especially when my gym only has about 30 members, of which only 3-5 are training at any one time, that is absolutely viable practice

trust me, TRUST ME: err on the side of too much safety while you can

Fair enough, Australia’s slowly shutting down anyways :grimacing:

I just wanted to co-sign on the staggered stance Romanian Deadlift as a good hinge move using low weight.

I balance on one foot then start to hinge over until I can feel the working hamstring start to lengthen, just before it gets tough to stay squared up. Then I put the other foot straight down and it’s like the perfect stance.

I just use 1 dumbbell in the opposite hand for weight but I imagine you strong dudes could use 2.

I was doing them with a barbell since I only have that. No balance problem or what.
