Is Anyone Worried That Coronavirus Is Going To Kill Their Gains?

Australia here: My gym survives for now being a smaller private one but my uni just cancelled the coming week and is transitioning to online

Some guy, not knowing he tested positive for the virus, pretty much hit up all the major grocery stores, starting with ours, spanning just at a 1 mile stretch, in search of toilet paper, sanitizer, wipes, paper towels, and gloves. But not before attending church. I forget the name, but it’s one of the largest churches in the area where I stay.

I’m guessing word got out about the guy being on a flight back from overseas, coming back to the Northwest side of Houston, and just didn’t think to stop and get free testing at that time.

He hit up an HEB, our store at Costco, a Target, and a few other stores along the west end of I-10. Half of my coworkers clocked out immediately when they found out, and half of us stayed. I’m just kind of annoyed because all of us still have to be back at our job, if we want to keep food on the table and our bills paid. Freaking out and leaving isn’t going to help.

But I’m more concerned about who was actively following this guy all day, and how efficiently word travels around.

I’m just gonna get a checkup in the morning. I’m pretty sure I’m fine though. My gyms refuse to close however, so I’m gonna hit up the gym, because gym lol.

If the T-2/T+14-estimates for contagiousness are correct, that’s a lot of time to spread it before the onset of symptoms. And even then, most people I know would at least under ordinary circumstances not really heed their body if their symptoms are mild and go about their life as normal. How long does it take for you to get your results back?

Yes, memory wasn’t serving me well.

I tried last night and it was with the other arm holding onto the working one’s wrist.

If it makes you feel any better, chances are you are going to get corona at some point anyway. The interventions are just about managing the demand for health resources and making sure everyone isn’t sick at the same time.

Usually a couple of days after. By mail

Yeah most likely. I’m not particularly worried, since I do my best to be in good shape, health-wise. Quit smoking since high school like 5 years ago, etc.

I figured since I caught the flu sometime ago, it’ll be something similar to that in terms of recovery. I know it’s not the same as the flu though, but at least I’ll take measures necessary to properly recover.

You must be pretty near me. I’m in Montgomery County.

Bellaire area

My workplace just locked down, I’ll be working from home for the foreseeable future.
I can only assume the Y will close tomorrow, so I bought the heaviest KB at Academy on my way home: 50lbs.
This is crazy.

I work at a gym so I’m screwed both training and income wise . I have a 20kg bell ,40lb sandbag and some bands at home but living I. A studio apt doesn’t leave much room to train but I’ll manage. Biggest issue is I don’t do well with isolation :weary:

If the gym is closed, can you ask the owner for keys?

I went to Thailand on holidays for 2 weeks. The employer told me not to come to work for another weeks, which was great because I could work out freely but soon after a week passed all the gyms in my country got closed. The situation is pretty shitty but I ordered a pair of dumbbells and a chinning bar just to stay in shape. I can hardly imagine any gains right now since my cycle has been broken after a warm up phase (mild T + EQ, was planning to go higher with everything) but it’s still a learning experience to cramp my workplace, my gym and my home in a small apartment that I have ;).

Honestly might as well blast testosterone and anabolics and do push-ups and single leg squats and outgrow natural gains anyway. I don’t foresee anything good here in North America because muh freedom. Harlem streets were packed today, business as usual lol.

Lol Cynical! I mean that might be the most honest, depressing, cynical statement I’ve read on here.
(I’m smiling right now, not flaming. Dont take this the wrong way)
If you know Debbie Downer from SNL I imagine her saying what you put in your post.
In that flat, deadpan voice.
Ok it’s a party of one over here, I’m cracking myself up.

My work has been allowing work from home for a while, and my gym is open for now with a 25-person limit. No new members or drop ins at this time.

Gyms in Aus are closed until further notice :frowning:

Fuck man I hope it goes down this way. Iron Revolution has max a dozen peeps in it at once when I go more like 1-4
