Is anavar at 20 mg a day a fountain of youth elixir?

I think this post is done correctly. I have been a TRT client for a decade and have explored some safe oral cycles with a test base over the last 3 years. The 3 orals I’ve used where anavar multiple times, winstrol and tbol.
I have ran 200 mg test with the orals.
I once ran 500 mg a week test with 20 mg a day var for 12 weeks. Those results were amazing. Tbol is amazing and winstrol as well.
I trained CrossFit and running was my forte. I broke my Femur in June.
Prior break I had injured my meniscus with nothing was working and surgery was the option Soni tried 6 weeks of anavar with a test base and it healed the issue.
It never returned whatever the injury was, anavar took it away.
I’ve witnessed other tremendous healing power of anavar and have been studying ncbi research pages and need to ask 2 questions.
Is anavar a fountain of youth elixir hormone?
Will taking anavar at 20 mg for the rest of my life shorten it or extend it?

No steroid is a fountain of youth. Growth hormone might qualify but even that is a stretch. TRT can be somewhat of a fountain of youth by maintaining or even improving some things that go down as you get older.

Now, anavar, like most steroids, increase muscle recovery. So there is that. But specifically for anavar, it does increase bone healing. In fact it is often prescribed for osteoporosis. It is also used for speeding up burn injuries.

Now you mentioned great gains when you used anavar. But I also noticed that you increased your testosterone dose to 500 at that time. So I’m not sure how much of those gains came from anavar or test.

Now as far as anavar being safe, no steroid is safe. There are always some potential side effects. Now, anavar is one of the less damaging steroids, but it can still have a negative impact on:

  • The kidneys: even though anavar is mild, it is one of the harshest steroid for kidney function. That’s because it is metabolized directly in the kidneys (the only steroid like that). The bad thing with kidney issues, is that you don’t notice them until some serious damage has been done (I talk from experience)

  • As a DHT derivative, it has a fairly significant impact on blood lipid profile, although less than winstrol. It does so specifically by lowering the “good” cholesterol while the “bad” cholesterol is either maintained or increased. Which increases your chances of plaque build-up in your arteries.

  • It has a small impact on the liver and the digestive system.

Now, people think that anavar has no side effects because it doesn’t give you the easily noticeable side effects that steroids can give you (increase in blood pressure, gynecomastia, water retention, etc.). But it can have serious side effects with extended use, but those side effects are not noticeable unless you take blood tests… which probably makes it worse.

No

Seriously, no way to know this. don’t know anything about you, or your health, your heart, your cholesterol, literally know nothing.

If your SHBG, lipids and liver/kidney can be managed while taking Anavar, then I’d say you’ve minimized your risk factors. That would be yo to you

I’ve done 20mg split dose daily for 8 weeks while on Sostenon 250 weekly. Part of a body recomp I’m working on at age 67. Results were great and still are. I’ll only do this every 4 months or so, until I reach my goal. I do my blood work before, during and after. I’ve been able to lose fat & add muscle, backed up not only by my appearance, but by dexa scans. But living on anavar / oxandralone isn’t something I’d like to do.

I have heard of many people running 5mg a day for a year or two at a time without any adverse effects. Vigorous Steve talks about this a lot.
