i am currently on 200mg/week TRT cypionate (3 doses). have been for a year or so. dialed in pretty well. I am 6.3 (192cm) and 250lbs at 28% BF. working out consistently for last year.
after ordering some roids (surprised how easy it is to get that stuff btw), and figured out i give anavar a try. I want to lean out a bit, and reduce my BF while hopefully making small gains. here is couple beginner questions:
a) what dose should I start, is 1x20mg or 2x20mg (am/pm) a good start? i am reading that it has a half life of 10h or so, but I am a bit concerned of insomnia, so maybe taking 40mg early AM would be safer? how long should I run the cycle
b) I’ve tried running TRT higher for 2-3weeks at a time and felt good. something like 300mg. should I increase TRT to maybe 250-350mg?
c) what are typical anavar s/x. is anxiety/insomnia common? any libido/ed issues?
d) does the diet matter (cutting)? i’ve been running keto lately and overall have good strength and feel good on it. I am planning to get of keto once I hit 20% BF, but currently this is the only diet which works in a calorie deficit.
e) blood work, since I am working with a T clinic, I don’t want to mess up my bloods to bad, but my next blood work isn’t due till june. what are typical issues with blood levels? i have zero shits about cholerestol in general.
f) should i expect for strength gains and plan more workout in general? how about cardio? i’ve been shunning cardio like the devil but maybe its time to start some
thank you all!
Take the Anavar two or three times a day, because the half-life is short. I never had sleep problems, but that is just me.
This begs the question, How strong are you now? If you are not so strong I probably would not advise AAS at all.
How old are you?
How many total years lifting weights?
It typically doesn’t make sense to me recommending AAS to anyone who hasn’t put in at least three years of hard training?
I feel pretty good. consistent for a year, inconsistent…prob 3-4 years within the last 10years or so. i’m 44 now. i have seen pretty good gains in the last year, prob able to add 50-75% more weight to most exercises. i’m pretty sure this is due TRT so am looking to bump it now.
i’ve been also considering running just higher T instead of adding other compounds.
how are the 2500 cals treating you?
that was almost 2 weeks ago, I thought you might be into the high 240’s by now.

I am not loosing shit. it has been like 3 weeks since i started. but hunger creeps in badly.
i have been tracking in detail via myfitnesspal. 2500kcal/day. should be 600-900 deficit.
zero cheating. energy at gym tanked, i actually gained a pound. according to my samsung watch which measures BF i am at 26%. i don’t believe it. that would mean 2% or so lower. but impossible to gain that much muscle in 3 weeks. unless its water weight. I need a dexa scan.
I can’t go lower in calories, and I doubt adding some more cardio will do much.
switching to pure KETO (more like carnivore). i had good success with it in the past. on keto i actually have a hard time getting 2500kcal in, hit my protein really quick, and have 0 hunger.
what happens on a regular clean carb diet for me, is that once my body burns through the carbs (which i kept at 250g or so) my energy tanks i get really cold. i’m not super fat adapted and my body refuses to burn it maybe? on keto this works very well for me. gym strength on keto is ok for me as well.
i give this a try for a month and then re-asses. maybe drop the creatine for a bit to loose more water and get a dexxa

No way your watch is correct but it is a gauge and if you’re any where near 30% bf and eating decent and exercising the fat should be melting off you.
did some more research on this.
a lot of shitty bro science out there. Anavar at certain doses is liver toxic. it is designed to prevent breakdown by the liver. you read a lot of ‘it is not broken down by the liver, not liver toxic’ type bullshit and kids popping it at 100mg ‘cause safest just like vit C’ and my ALT/AST went to 400 but i feel ok. the pharma doses come at 2.5-10mg. now, i probably would feel ok taking lets say 5mg/day for 2 months, but the results are going to be minimal.
it really appears that blasting on TRT seems about the safest thing to do, while looking for s/x and checking blood work periodically.
could be.
seems to be pretty effective at 2x10mg/day for fat loss
now that study mentions 60-87 years old, so there is reason to assume, that at a lower age, a smaller dose still would produce significant results
thankfully there is an ignore button here:). i see you in
my friends
you need to reduce your tren dose:)
ok so i started a self-experiment. decided to limit Anavar use to 2x10mg a day for 1 month and observe on next dexa scan what happened. and then stop for 1 month and redo it.
what i noticed is that within 1 hour of taking it, i feel a bit of rush, similar to excessive caffeine, but that subsides quickly and is followed by a mild euphoric feeling.
i obviously can’t know for sure if the source is 100% legit, but based on ‘internet’ data it is.
ordered some roidtests to at least make sure it has anavar and not something else (reading that anavar is often switched for dianabol in pills)
Everyone wants this lol. Bigger and leaner and now!
If it were me I would diet first without anything other than TRT, then I’d take the Var when it was time to bulk. Repeat until desired results are achieved. 25mg daily.
