Good workout. Bench was a little difficult but I think it was more of a technique problem than anything else.

Strength is coming back, looks like.

What’s the word on the job? Sounds like you’re not so sure again…

They put up all our equipment on an auction site. Later the plant manager said it was a mistake and it was supposed to be taken off yesterday but I see it’s still up today. I really don’t know what or who to believe right now. I’ll just keep on doing my job until I find out differently.

The lease is up on the building we are in at the end of March and the owners of the building want the company to sign a 5 year lease which ain’t gonna happen in this economic environment. I guess I’ll see what happens in a month or so.

Not to be a downer, but I don’t see how one can mistakenly put ALL the equipment up on an auction site. That takes a fair amount of effort to accomplish.

Yeah, I hear ya on keeping on with the job till you know different. Had some interesting experiences during the DotCom Bust in Silicon Valley along those lines. I ended up wall-eyed for a few months keeping one eye on the job and the other looking out for other opportunities (which were disappearing as you applied) at the same time.

I’ve really had a rough time at work for the past couple of days. My knees and back were feeling really beat up. Didn’t really feel like lifting today. I could tell it wasn’t there on the squats. I decided to do some really light work and call it a day.

Had an interesting phone call from the Dr. this morning. Seems my testosterone numbers are low from bloodwork I had done Friday and he wants to schedule an appointment to see me. Surprised the hell out of me. I don’t know whether to be sad or glad. I already had a physical scheduled for Thursday so I guess I’ll find out more then.

A lot of people in the gym today. Deadlifts were easy. Everything was easy. I work better with an audience I guess.
Got a call from my boss Tuesday.(I’m on temporary layoff this week) Big meeting Friday morning with the CEO. My boss has no idea what it is about. Usually they layoff people permanently on Fridays. We’ll see what happens.

Easy workout. Well I’ve got a job for at least 2 more weeks. I told the business unit manager that I had rather he be blunt with me than hint around at what they might or might not do.

Still did not get a straight answer maybe they have no idea in this current economic environment what is gonna happen. I do know they sold several pieces of our equipment to a Chinese company and I’m laid off for another week. At least I’ve still got insurance.

The bar rolled in my arms on the last set of Zerchers and tweaked my left forearm a little. Weight felt light but I was feeling a little pain so I moved to the squat machine. I haven’t felt like recording my last couple of workouts because they were so crappy but this one felt pretty decent.

I tried zerchers recently. I don’t know how you guys do them. They were awkward and I couldn’t squat down with any kind of depth.

I started off at the bottom but not at parallel. I was trying to work my deadlift more than anything else. Next time I’ll use a board in the crook of my arms and maybe it won’t roll.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I think some of my problems might be stress and hormone related. Even though I didn’t think I had a problem but looking back some of my symptoms seem to fit the pattern of hormone deficiency.
My squat workouts seem to be going ok. It’s just my bench that sucks.
