Irishman's Training & Nutrition

It all depends on what time they schedule my flights. I have no say really in that regard. If it works out that I have some time to kill I wouldn’t mind checking out your fancy powerlifting gym!

Bad news @MarkKO @painter27

My flight gets into Canberra on Monday arvo and I get picked up from the airport by RMC.

All day Tuesday is the interview and my flight is at 730pm Tuesday night, about an hour or 2 after my interview day finishes.

There is just no way I will be able to leave the college and have any recreational time before I have to check into my flight.

If all goes well I will be living in Canberra for 18months soon so we will have to postpone!

Thats wicked man!!! Goodluck.

Id say go for it man. Either that or wait till you adjust from BJJ?

BTW when you start at RMC I have a good mate who is a Muay Thai fighter, if you like I can probably hook you up with his trainer Gaz Rees.

That’s really cool! Definitely keep in touch with him! If I have any spare energy when doing my Officer training I may have to go to some classes.

Hah I say it as if I’m already in at RMC :joy:

Adjust from Muay Thai you mean?

I think my body has done most of its adjusting. My shins are fine, my core is much stronger and my joints are good.

It’s the impact injuries from sparring that I suffer from if I go too much. Dead legs, bruised shins and forearms and tender ribs all add up. It doesn’t help that I work a physical job so I don’t get time through the day to recover very well.

At this point in time I will just continue to go to Muay Thai when I feel up to it. My coach can suck it up! Haha

Fuck I would get annihilated! I’ve only sparred with him once and for a big lad he moves so well. Couple that with leg kicks that can snap my femur and it would not end well for me 100/100 times!

Should of shown this kind of judgement before getting popped in the face 1000 times by Mayweather. I guess for the pay packet it was worth lol

Career Update

As I lay in bed unwinding and reflecting on the whirlwind that has been the last couple of days, I have to say, I’m pretty happy.

I got the big YES from the Royal Military College to come train with them!

That’s not to say it’s 100% happening but it’s sure as shit a lot closer to the goal than I was this time last week. If all goes to plan, I will receive a Letter of Recommendation by email in the next couple of weeks and on July this year I will hopefully be on my way to Canberra to begin my 18months of Officer training.

Now just to really knuckle down and get my arse into gear!
