Anybody else watching?
I just saw an Australian 66-kg junior set an open world record in the deadlift with 273 kg. Unbelievable. If you watch the video, you’ll find it at about 2:12:30

But he cheated.
The commentary is easily the best part. The actual lift is at like 2:14, but it’s well worth it to start at 2:12:30.

Yeah there was a bit of a hitch… But a junior hitting a 4.2x BW deadlift is pretty effing phenomenal in my books, regardless of hitch.
And the commentary is fantastic. It’s an Australian lifter’s mom, I think, and she pauses from her commentary every time an Aussie lifter comes up in order to scream. It’s hilarious.

Ah, sheeit. You meant because he pulled sumo, right? Man. I’m not good in the interwebs humour.
More videos of world records from the IPF Classic.
Ray Williams squats an unbeliable 412,5 kg.
Mikhail Andryukhin squats 240 kg at only 66 kg bodyweight.
Inna Filimonova squats 167,5 kg and she only weighs 56 kg - that’s 197 wilks… unequipped.

Great work at the meet, Connor! I enjoyed following your training leading up to it.

Great job! Fabulous commentary. And you didn’t get the start command on your second bench because . . . ?
