Hi,I’m a new member here so just introducing myself. Hope I’m not breaking any rules here.
Used the Gym a lot over the years and quite a number of years ago I used gear several times a year right up to 60 years of age. Those were difficult years in terms of getting decent suppliers who could be trusted to send legitimate gear. I understand it’s even worse now with all the scammers.
I’m 70 now but only time I use any gear is officially as I’m on HRT from my Doctor on prescription. I first went onto HRT after numerous problems health wise and got no particular help from my Doctor so I had my blood testo levels checked privately and to keep a long story short I "eventually’ and I mean “eventually” managed to convince my Doctor I was a candidate for HRT and that took 2 years as he didn’t believe in Hormone replacement for men!
l’ve Been on HRT now for the the last 8 years or so. I’m still using the Gym on alternate days and jogging 6 times a week (45 mins over undulating terrain). I’m happy with my Gym work as my main concentrations these days are weights for muscle definition and to maintain strength, core work and stretching to keep what suppleness I have. Going on HRT is one of my best life decisions.
All the best, Jolyon UK
Current protocol?
Currently NEBIDO inject every 8 weeks. Was initially 10 weeks but the problem with Nebido and in particular its very long esters is supposed to keep ones test on a decent level until your next injection is due but ones stats can be up and down like a roller coaster. Consider those who are on 3 monthly injects of Nebido. I don’t know how they feel.
Contrary to what some may say about long esters keeping ones testo on an even keel over a set period is quite difficult to achieve or certainly so in my case. I was running out of gas at 6 weeks so I ended up on every 8 weeks. Still not perfect and some suggest splitting the dose into weekly injections but my doc is dead against that. So all in all I’m good for 4 or 5 weeks but start to suffer the last couple of weeks.
Thanks, Jolyon UK
So your doctor is fine with you feeling like crap for weeks on end? If it were me i would rather feel the same all the time than up and down every few weeks.
The most shocking thing is your doctor is ok with what is considered treatment failure. Moving the injections closer together would elevate your suffering and risk nothing other than feel good 100% of the time. In the long haul these few weeks of not feeling well will come back to bite you.
I employ you to get rid of this underachiever and find another doctor.
Yeah shorten the intervals and feel good all of the time. No need for roller coasting.
Unfortunately Nebido is an NHS default position.
If you can afford to go private there’s 2 physicians in the UK (not the online provider clinics), who can get you on a much better protocal.
Got any pictures from using gear at 60+?
And then only if things are desperate eh Roadie😥
