Thats what Im talkn about!

You’re getting stronger. Good workouts.

To dam lazy…

Rack-pulls ect. 2.9.09

after warmups.

deads: 2x6@225 alt. with dips 2x12@ bw

rackpulls: 3x6@315 alt. dips 3x8@+45
3x2@405 alt. cable crunch 3x12
3x6@315 alt. dips 3x8@+45
powershrug 3x6@135 alt.O.H.press 3x8@135

3x6@185 alt. OH. press 3x3@185 Presses were VERY HARD, never went that high in weight, at that point there Pushpress for sure..

curl/press: 3x8@30 DB’s (just fried)
ab stuff and cool down and…done. Had some spike shooter on board (not bad), I’m sure that helped.

Can’t seem to get to any threads to catch up…lots of blank screens. Of course, I didn’t know what SLDL was so…could be me?

Shakes-N-steaks diet update: It SUCKS. Last 3 weeks per day: 160-180grams protein
400-500cal. fats (almonds, walnuts) 15-20g’s fish oil, 2serv’s of Superfood, 20g’creatine, 10g’s glutamine post-training, No steaks yet…to much coffee, 20ish g’s fiber mix, 1 cheeseburger per week at work, F**ckin crappy. Gonna go until it all runs out, could be another 4 weeks. Great. Just great.

Note to self…a 50lbs. jump might not always/ever be a good idea. Why? because I hammered my neck and shoulders with those pushpresses at 185lbs. Haven’t trained since, but plan to monday with lower body.

Of course I’ll do it again, but a bit smarter I think! I’d like to clean/press 185, 205, then 225…that would be pretty cool. Could I just stick to a goal? One goal, is that even possible OCD boy??? Have a shake kid, It’ll make ya feel better…

Meeb ya caused yerself some pain, but you also pushed your training boundaries out farther. Worth it in my book…

Enjoy that/those shake(s).

Lower body 2.16.09…same as 2.3.09 plus…

At the end, because EVERYBODY’s doining it, I tried some…

walkouts: 2x20sec. @ 315
3@10sec.(maybe!)@ 405…Honestly, I was afraid to take a step! I just pushed it off the holds and stood there, maybe 10 seconds…
Did 3 more at 315…pretty cool really, The crushing weight was quite pleasurable…Work on it I will…

One of the main things anyone will have to overcome is just getting acclimated to the feel of the weight. I was stuck on my bench @ 200 for a long time. Every time I pulled the weight out it hurt. I mean, the pressure was more than I was use to. I thought maybe Im not strong enough to handle this. I was watching JimmyT bench one day (at the time he was benching in the mid 3s) and his face turned red he had to push and work - at 225. Then I realized 225 is 225 no mater who you are. It feels heavy. Once I got past the fear I was fine.

BTW It takes guts to get under 405. Hats off to ya! Im sure your in the elite in your gym. It wont be long now and youll be squatting it. Great work.

Thanks 63G, I may need a third leg to power up a 405 squat, but I’ll work on it…

Bench ect. 2.18.09

warm-ups blah, blah…who cares.

Bench: 6@135/6@155/2x5@185…5x2@205
cablecrunch/rear delt fly mixed in…

low hammer press: 2x8@60’s
alt. with bent row: 2x6@70’s…same for both. This combo really pumps me up, and the lower volume benching felt good as well.
Barbell curls, tri-extensions…heavier cable crunches…that’s it. 2 hours with a 20min. warm-up…sounds about right, doesn’t seem like a lot looking at it.
And thursday I pull…

Looks like you are headed towards making that lift.

Strength looks great Z! Keep messin’ with those walk outs, you’ll get the feel of that heavy weight.

Movin’ up Z! Keep it going.

That puts your bench up there around 240!

Looking strong Z. Weights are all moving up. Reading about your OCD with lifting. I have the same issue though mine has subsided some recently.

perfectly good weekend shot to hell.

2.23.09
Full-body warmups…30min.(heavy legs)

Squats: 2x6@135
5x8@185…felt weak.
alt. with ab stuff.
HyperX: 4x15@45plate alt. with
calf raise: 4x18@ 220…odd i know.

walkouts: 1@315…then I just had to…
2x5@315, call them “1/4squats”. Had to feel the weight moving, if only a little! Moved the pins down to 1/2 squat depth got one really bad rep. i don’t really count these for more than just “feeling it” like I said, but I’m fine with that.

Cable crunch: 4x8@85, ab wheel 3x12, leg extensions 3x6&6@ 85/105. Quads are pretty worked. Safe to say I’ve not been pushing hard enough on the lower body work. Sure did like that 315 though, I surely did.

I’d KILL for a shake right now, but I’m out of stuff…whole food rations for 10 days.
9lbs.chicken breast
8lbs. London broil
tomatoes, spinach, kashi cereal…garlic(it’s now a food group) black beans…Not gonna be pretty. Keep pushin it boys (and girl)

Stole my post you little…

looks like you have enough food put away for 2 days. And plenty of food for your pet rabbit. Eat him on day 3 8*)

This is a test. Will this post work? I’m going to check on brother Skid…

Looks like you’re still hittin it hard. Lift hard then eat a lot. Works every time.
