Defiantly know the vogue thing to do when losing weight is to cut carbs to a minuscule level, and just ride it out. However, I generally prefer a more proactive approach-- i’d rather increase my carb intake and preform more interval training or cardio. I know intervals on low carb is a recipe for muscle destruction and I was wondering if there was a general guideline on how many carbs to consume if i plan to do HIIT or lift on a given day.
Your body is designed to burn carbs as fuel, you need them in abundance. A 40%P 40%C 20%F split has always worked for me and also many others in the past. Reducing carbs to miniscule levels is for over fat people who want to try and lose weight, not those of us busting our hump in the gym. I don’t see any reason for a healthy person with reasonable body fat levels to cut carbs ever (contest preping BB’s perhaps excepted).
Alternativly you could try varying your carbs and see how your body responds.
Change that effing aviator picture already would ya.
