You shouldn’t give up on a shirt just because you can’t touch the first time out, especially if its your first time in a shirt, period.

Hell, it took me nearly 6 months to get anywhere with my Katana.

yeah i have alot of work left, but i got a few weeks till i have to bench in comp.

SRSLY?

You need to get your facts straight before you start running your mouth buddy. There’s quite few who have contributed to this thread with good totals. AND thousands of posts.

Hanley,

I’m a masters division 275lb powerlifter. If those of you bashing this young man for wanting a bench shirt are experienced lifters with good totals you have no excuse and should know better. SRSLY.

What does you being a masters division 275lb powerlifter have to do with anything? People who have posted advice (NOT bashing) in this thread:

Pipes: Weighs half of what you do, but most likely lifts more
Detazathoth: Chasing an elite total at 19 years old, missed it at his last meet by 30 lbs
Masonator: Has squatted 700 lbs and isn’t much older than 20 or 21 years old
Hanley: One of the strongest posters on this site
Myself: Spent 6 months learning the type of shirt being discussed and overcoming the issues that the OP is having. By no means am I a stand out when it comes to strength, but I know quite a bit about the shirt in question.

Those are just the posters whose accomplishments I know about. Not that any of this is really relevant to this thread, but since you apparently have to get approved by anonymous old dude to post advice now, there you go.

No one is bashing this kid for anything but ignoring advice and claiming that he trains with people that he actually does not train with. There is good advice in this thread, my guess is that you cherry picked and skimmed over it because you really just wanted something to complain about.

By the way, you are a 275 lb competitor…didn’t I read you posting somewhere about chasing a 300 raw bench? Master’s division or not…if we’re talking about experience and good numbers…
