Just a quick general curiosity question on training!
This is for example reasons, I’ll use the Bicep, Lets say you go to the gym and you do a some bicep exercises, Doing just the one exercise but with a high set or Doing various exercises with 30reps… More exercises would be better than just that one or would it just be as effective on the muscle growth?
I dont like hammer curls because it causes the bicep to not form as tall, but I have to do them for my left arm because it does not go parallel because I broke it… Just stink to normal isolation curls and do them 1 to 3 times a week.
I would go with chinups/pullups/rows with a variety of grips. Add a weight belt when the chins and pullups get too easy. I’m a little biased because curls never really did much for me but experiment and do what works.
I’d rather focus on one key exercise per bodypart and get the work done then trying to hit every single angle of the biceps because so and so from Flex says to.
I don’t think people are even reading the questions before they post their responses. It’s like sitting in a room with a bunch of people talking at eachother and nobody with eachother. Come on.
Variety is always good, even if it’s just to keep things interesting. If you’re doing high volume work (for whatever reason) of course you should work various angles, grips, etc. The only reason I can think of for doing no variations in a workout is to bring up a specific lift for a competition.

I’d have to agree with Scott here. But, I also don’t really like high volume at the moment (I’ve used it in the past, but have moved away from it recently). If I was going to do 9 sets for a body part, then I’d probably choose to do three different exercises for that body part, just for variety’s sake if nothing else.

Yes I know where both of you are coming from!
So If I were to to Two Exercises per muscle at 4 sets each would be fine right? I’m getting Volume and it’s different angles etc!
Everything is fine my man, don’t let anyone get you caught up in the more is better attitude however. If 6x10 with barbell curls works, that doesn’t necessarily mean 6x10 barbell curls and 3x10 hammers and 3x10 concentration curls and 3x10 cable curls etc are better. If you want more than one exercise I would go with a regular grip curl and then either a hammer or reverse grip 2-4 sets each.
