I was doing skull-crushers five days ago, and at the bottom of the eccentric, I felt a pop. I believe it’s just a strain. I’ve had a similar thing happen in my castroc/achilles region. I cannot fully extend my arm due to the inflammation above my elbow. It cracks a lot when I straighten my arm. I’ve been stretching it a lot and taking anti-inflammatories, and avoiding tricep exercizes.
I recently had a lot of trouble with my elbows. If your insurance covers it, my advice would be to go see a respected chiropractor in your area, unless you know a doctor that will give you a script to a PT.
Warning: if you do decide to go see a chiropractor, it might be very, very, very painful if he decides to work out any adhesion in your arm.
Other than that, ice it after every workout, foam roll it, and take care of it. At all costs, do NOT let an injury turn into a career handicap. Take care of it now, and nip it in the butt while it’s fresh.
In my experience, elbow issues tend to be related to imbalances within the forearm muscles.
I’d start by cutting out the anti-inflams; they’ll make the injury take longer to heal. Use natural anti-inflams like fish oil and celery seed extract.
After the swellings gone down, I’d suggest having an ART practitioner take a look at your forearms, I’m sure they’ll find some serious restrictions there.
After that, do a ton of grip works along with radial/ulnar flexion exercises.
Thanks everyone!!
