Incline Bed

I haven’t had the time to do the proper bed raising. I have a king size so it’s a little bit more of a project for me. Anyways, Luckily my wife has about 10 pillows on the bed, so I started with one under my butt and added a pillow each time on the way up to make kindof a ramp up to my head. I guess the guy said it wasn’t the best way to do it but better than not doing it. I did wake up mad early and was wide awake. It was pretty noticable how good I felt. I also did the same thing two nights ago and had similar results upon waking. Last night I went back to sleeping flat on my memory foam, and I have a sore lower back this morning. Go figure.

Ok, if anyone else is doing this, maybe they can chime in. I have been having crazy nightmares since doing this. I have never had them before, and these are so bad they are waking me up, and i am actually a little spooked, they were so real.

maybe it is part of the “emotional release” they were talking about…

Dream Journal, write that shit down, it’s the best way to cure them, you will eventually become aware in your dreams and be able to change them. There was a lenghty discussion on dreams not that long ago, you should check it out.

Like you can get inside your own dreams and change the outcome? dude, i have got to check that out.

Update: Still haven’t moved the best up to 8 inches. However, i was out of town this weekend, so i didn’t sleep on an incline and all three nights, i had to get up to go to the bathroom and i didn’t have a single nightmare. seems to be a correlation. Upgrading bed to 8 inches tonight.

I’ve slept on a 5 inch incline almost all my life and I’ve enjoyed it more then sleeping perfectly flat. I’m going to try and raise my incline a little bit more to see what happens.

I just got my bed up 5 inches in the back yesterday. I need a support or two for the middle as i’m getting a sag, but anyways, wife and I still tried it out last night. No problems at all, I have memory foam so I didn’t slip to the bottom of the bed and I feel good today. On thing I noticed, I had a sore back this weekend, not sure what it comes from but it acts up now and again. I think it’s my posture sitting as I have anterior pelvic tilt. Anyways, I woke up this morning and my lower back/upper hip was tingling. Not like bad or anything, it just felt a little numbish. After I showered I noticed my low back didn’t really hurt anymore. I mean it wasn’t killing me or anything, The tingly feeling was just odd and it’s pretty coincidental that this happened on the night I raise my bed. Anyways, I’ll be hitting up some supports for the middle and i’ll try to keep posting as the weeks go by if I notice anything significant.

I tried it and could not get enough back support. I tried it for two nights and my back hurt like a bitch

Yea, You mean yours was sagging? Mine did this I just need to reinfroce the sagging areas. It really should take a load of pressure off your back, not add to it.

Been 4 nights with only 3 inches or so incline. so far every morning I have woken up with morning wood after a super sexy sex dream.

last night I dreamed that I fucked this hottie from work. It kicked ass.

going 6 inches in a few days.

No nightmares, no back pain, just sleeping deeper and less interrupted.

Thinking of trying this when i move later this week.

Still haven’t gotten the rest of the supports up but it seems to be doing a good job of whatever it’s doing anyways. Went to bed “fell asleep” at halftime of the football game last night. Wife woke me up at 4:30 AM when she gets up for work so I could snow blow the driveway. I usually get up at 7:00 for work. I woke up with no problem and was refreshed and ready to go. I usually am a slow starter in the morning to boot. Hell I got it done so fast by not turtling around I even got to play an hour of dragon age origins before work.

Update: first night with the 8 inch incline. Here is the timeline:

Went to bed at 5:30p (really tired), woke up at 10:30p. *this was at 4 inches

did some studying and watched favre be awesome again, and peterson not be awesome

went back to bed after raising it to 8 inches @ 12p

got up at 5:30a COMPLETELY IN A STUPOR. tried to wake up, but decided to go back to bed until 7:30.

7:30 rolled around and was SO SLUGGISH.

not sure if i was tired from maybe NOT getting a good sleep, OR if i was tired from getting TOO GOOD of a night’s sleep. i am guess the later, because now that i am awake, i am not tired at all.

i will have to give it another night, but MAN it felt like i was on some sleeping medication or something this morning.

How does doggy style or cowgirl/reverse cowgirl work on an incline? Do you slide down towards the foot of the bed? Should I add some belay lines to the bed to hold onto? Hmmm, actually the belay lines sound like fun. I think I will put them on anyways regardless of incline.

It is always nice when you are able to work through things on your own, and reach a conclusion.

Update, finally got my ass to home depot to get some more lumber. Did the supports up right and it made a huge difference. Slep great last night. That is all.

Wait, are you guys actually taking that site seriously? :-/
