I’m not worried about the GAL section that is clearly for off topic threads.
I’m suggesting the T-Nation simply ask their authors and contributors to post more consistently on all sections of the forums.
They would steer discussions in the right direction and make for a more interesting forums.[/quote]
The problem is that there’s a bunch of idiots running around who won’t use the search function… for whatever reason. Whether it’s because they’re think much more special than the previous 1,000 people that had the same question (Cut or Bulk?, Creatine?, How to gain muscle and not lose my abz?)
These same people then go ahead to give others advice on what they should be doing, often times with no credibility behind their statements whatsoever. No profile pictures, stats, or much about them at all is known (Strength4Life.)
These also have driven away most of the people on the site that are actually serious about having discussions. Hell, I know I’ve only been around the boards for a little over a year and a half and I’ve seen the same shit over and over, I can’t imagine what those who have been here for even longer feel.
It seems like in the last few years there’s been an influx of a health-craze, most of which leads to misinformation and blanket assumptions (ecto, meso, endomorphic body types) that are shoved down people’s throats through the mass media. I’m sure that has reflected heavily on the message boards and, again, I’ve even seen it in my short time around here.
So, to respond to your question (which I doubt the mods will,) it’s probably not going to get any better. This message board is funded mostly through Biotest, I assume. As long as sales stay up and steady, there’s no reason to mess with what isn’t broken. I’m also willing to be those experienced members who have left are still buying supplements from the company.
For me, I always check the Bodybuilding forum (or body “toning” forum as it’s become,) Supplements and Nutrition, Get A Life, and the T-Cell. All else are generally a waste of my time. Find what you enjoy, and if you’re not finding yourself enjoying the forum anymore, leave.
