Did just the main lifts with an impending adult hockey tournament I referee four games for this weekend.
So I’m out driving at lunch, and the radio station announced that caller number 10 would win 4 breakfast burritos.
And tickets to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers when they tour in Lincoln in January.
I won the burritos. And the tickets.
I had a really good day.
Congrats on the PR! And the Breakfast burritos! Not sure about the RHCP thing…
You are one lucky dude!

Thanks!
I snuck a regular PR in there too
The next cycle will have the 1 week at a PR on Military Press, and only 5 lbs below my deadlift PR and my just set Bench Press PR.
This will be interesting.

Knees hurt. Didn’t help I scored 6 games after that for the tournament. But then, I got paid for it.
Got home and had an epsom salt soak to try to get ready for tomorrows games.

League game - 1 hour
Refereed the tournament championship at the upper level. Physical fast game which ended in a 0-0 tie. The team from Sioux City won in the shootout. Had a few comments on that I did a good job on keeping control of the game.
League game started off with us being in a 0-4 hole at the end of the first period. Ended the game in a 5-5 tie. Had several good shots on net. End of the summer league, get a month off of league now.
I’ll let that one slide since I like you.

Knees hurt.
Have you been speaking to them nicely, telling them how much you appreciate them?

Skating Lessons - 1 Hour
Scrimmage - 1 Hour
I was able to a drill in the lessons I have never been able to do before. Specifically turn in a really tight circle with your feet in a straight line with your heels.
Scrimmage was fun. Made several good plays, several good shots on net. The white bench started to hook me a lot to prevent me for scoring.
Cheaters, lol.

20161002 - Hockey
Scrimmage - 1 hour
Went to a scrimmage with really good players. As in former D1 College level. One of them holds the record for the most points scored for his college. Made a few good defensive plays, made some good passes. At the end, the best player on the other team said next goals wins.
I scored it.
Edit: It was a short bench. As in we had one extra for each side. A lot of skating, very little rest.
That’s how I like to do my cardio

I think I’m in ok cardio shape.
I want to start incorporating some tabita bike sessions into my training program.
I need to produce more power during my time on the ice.
