Yeah if you cant tell, I am bored as shit right now lol… stalking the T-Nation boards like a ferocious jungle cat.
Just stopping by to cosign the homoerotic comments about gregron. Good work man!
Also good job Saravok!
Different people can tolerate differing levels of “junk” in their diets. And by junk I mean something not so clean but high in protien. I think most people can handle consuming high protien fast food when bulking. That means if I go to McDonald’s, I eat the Double Cheeseburgers, not a meal that has fries and pop, and not even the other burgers that don’t offer as much meat for their calories. I’m not a big fan of pizza but if it’s one with chicken, ground beef and some other meat topping I’m all for it, too.
No one gets fat overnight no matter how bad their food intake is. You should be able to notice if your diet is too ‘dirty’ just by paying attention to your progress in scale weight, numbers in the gym, and with a mirror week to week. If you notice you’re putting on too much fat compared to muscle and strength gains clean up your diet a bit [maybe even do a ‘recomp’?]. Never mind concrete rules about how clean your bulk has to be.

you look like you lift weights. You and Teledin should feel free to post more.
Good work man.
Thanks. I don’t post much because people are always bickering.
x2. I could tolerate it if one camp actually made some sense. Seem to be face-palming more than actually reading along and gaining some useful shit out of a discussion. So I tend to just come here, read the articles and sometimes suss out what’s going down on the forum.

Guys, what I’m trying to get at is if you and more people like you posted more, it would help stomp out the dumb shit.
I’m not saying argue, just speak around the shit you don’t want to get involved in.
Those that are worth it to take the time to convey the message to will receive it.
BUT… Carry on, I understand your position completely.

Nice stats boss, when I saw the word dirty next to bulk I assumed that meant you were over 15 percent. .
Wait, why would ANYONE assume that and further, what the fuck is wrong all of a sudden with being 15% body fat?
Further, why would THAT be the primary concern over whether what you are doing is leading to the most muscle growth?
Who the fuck cares if you hit over 15% body fat if you grew more muscle than everyone else?
Don’t get me wrong PX, there isn’t anything wrong being over 15%. The phrase ‘dirty bulk’ has a connotation of being a fat fuck, otherwise it would just be bulking – in my opinion at least.
I have ‘dirty’ bulked in the past myself, it isn’t a particularly great look for me. Most likely because I approached it from an angle that was far from optimal, sub-par if you will. I’m certainly not trying to knock it for those of you that are following the path of strength. I’m a bodybuilding and fitness enthusiast and value symmetry in addition to strength.

agreed. However, the guys that seem to give the best advice and seem to actually know their shit also tend to stay out of these arguements. If the guys who like to bicker/argue put as much effort into helping other people out, this place would be solid.
The T-Nation forums have such potential. A community is about support/growing/learning…not shooting people down every chance you get.

Heres me now at 235, 11-12% bodyfat. I was 196 and ~8% at my lowest about 3 or 4 months ago…
Your arms and shoulders definitely look a lot bigger/better. You’re obviously much leaner as well. A little difficult to compare the two pictures since they are not the same pose but you definitely look much better now. Good work
Thanks man, getting most of my calories around my workout time helped me gain better lean mass IMHO.
My point was, I know everyone’s different and whatnot, but we’d def. have less people complaining about getting fat if they at least TIMED their dirty calories more toward their workouts(immediately before/during/immediately after).
I started reading T-Nation around 4 years ago, and since then, it’s been priceless. I carb-cycle year round while gaining or cutting for a show,(thanks to Thib’s and Stu’s recommendations) and being big and strong can be totally possible while still eating “Bad” food, if you even want to call it that.

To a degree. I give advice on here sometimes that was passed to me from other successful members, and I got sick of hearing things about HAWT ABZ and you must be a fatty, pics or GTFO lol, so here ya go.

Lol…poor Sarev0k. This guy single-handedly turned the thread into exactly what you DIDN’T want.
And if you think that anything but chicken and rice (or that small handful of acceptable foods you have listed) is “dirty” food, then you’re probably setting yourself up for a nice eating disorder, or at the very least a solid case of Orthorexia.
But whatever - good luck to you in your future bodybuilding endeavors.

lol I kind of expected a shitstorm, but now that i have pics up, hopefully it’ll prove to some people that dirty bulking is not so bad as long as you time it correctly.
