Nice PRs!!! I couldn’t find what you weigh…is that bodyweight, or close to? More than? I’m a terrible judge at that. Regardless, very solid work!!

Im currently about 241, give or take what shit I eat on a certain day lol. Ultimate goal is a 315 OH press, a looooong way to go but like we discussed the small incremental PRs is the way to go. My max incline BP is 325, and the Incline is like a cheating OH press to me so as that goes up hopefully same will go for my OH Press.

Strong OH pressing Matty, bodyweight OH is going to be mighty impressive at your weight.

Lmao at the New Yawk humor.[/quote]

Thank you sir!

I decided to take a day off from work tonight, so I will be sleeping when I should…I cant wait!

Damn solid work Matty! That’s stout pressing for sure.

Yeah, family drama sucks. Not much more to say that hasn’t been said.

Nice pressing Matty a body weight overhead press is an awesome milestone to hit.

Thanks guys Onward and Upward

Happy New Years all

Great work Matty. How do you like the Starr program? I did Madcow (it looks really close to this) three years ago or so and really liked it. But I like a simple program. I love/hate the set of 8 after the set of 3 on day 3.

Keep up the hard work and here’s to a kick ass 2012.

Damn fine training to wrap up 2011, Matty!!

Onward and upward indeed. Loves it!

Happy New Year, buddy!! All the best in 2012!

I love it as a base to my program I really do, the intermediate linear progression keeps me on track…I add some of Paul Carter’s approaches as well. I tend to enjoy a bit more volume so its a way to satisfy both my lifting goals.

I think it will always the base of my programs, maybe move on to the Pendlay advance to switch it up a little.

Thanks brother happy new year!

135 lbs x for 22 on millies is crazy. I bet that got you puffing.

I see shed loads of PRs for you in 2012.

Thanks Lula and Brett!

STARR 5X5 WEEK 4 DAY 1

Ok first session of the new year and it went swimmingly. I will copy the cool kids and instead of doing the SS to signify the Super Set I will do the A1 A2 thingy…it seems easier. Anywhoo

Got the gym a little bit late didn’t warm up enough on the squat as such my lower back locked up a bit. Other than that I felt pretty good ignored the lower back issue and fought through. A bit disappointed I didn’t get the 5th rep of the 295, but I had no spotter today and I think that may have something to do with it.

I’ve lifted alone for so long I think a spotter would throw me off. The safety bars are your friends!

Lol, I lift alone myself for the most part but there are a few buddies at the gym that I trust, none were there today. I should use the cage to bench but I just don’t feel comfortable there.

Matty you need to post your video of the 230 millie in the overhead thread in GAL

I did bro, like a week and a half ago…get with it, what the fuck were you on a cruise or something?

Lol I suck again.
