LOL your right, Im going to take some vids on Friday maybe you can check my stance. Overall pretty dissapointed in my numbers overall even though my gym PRs are higher just feel that I should be higher than they are, gotta get technique down pat but then again maybe Im thinking too much.
Matty fuck being disappointed man, you are a strong fucker do not ever let anybody tell you different.
We have a fucking life, family and work. You are doing shit on your own man, I think with some technique changes you will fucking dominate.

I know you know this but…when you look at the grand scheme of things how many gym guys are ever going to be as strong as you? Not many. Hanging in this crowd I think we lose track of what regular people strong is. 99% of the people you come into contact with outside TN are going to be blown away by your numbers.
Not saying that you shouldn’t strive to be strong(er) EFS plug just don’t get down on yourself too bad for the work you’ve put in and the progress you’ve made.
However that attitude of never good enough will drive your big ass to be better.
Love the new tattoo matty, a lot of emotion comes through that little pup’s eyes, I love it.
Take it easy on the tendonitis-I’m glad you’ve found a position that works better for you, though!
And like everyone else has already said, the numbers and work you put up are incredible, you’re doing it, don’t doubt it. Here’s a longish quote I got out of Sam Byrd’s log in Elitefts (another plug) that I come back to when I have similar feelings:
Not quite perfect
Perfection is an admirable goal. But even when you can’t quite get it perfect, make sure you get it done. Hold yourself to the highest standards. But don’t make those standards so unattainable that you fail to make the effort. Seek always to create great and useful value for others. But don’t get bogged down in worrying about what others might or might not think. Be careful and diligent in whatever you set out to accomplish. But don’t be so worried about making mistakes that you fail to get anything done. Go ahead, from where you are, with whatever you have, and make the effort. Even when conditions are far from perfect, there is still much progress you can make. Focus not on the imperfections or limitations, but rather on the task at hand. And even when you can’t get it perfect, you can make an important positive difference in your world.
James - Thanks brother, it is tough because I know as well as everyone else does once you reach the numbers you have been striving for those wont be enough either, but I guess thats the point.
Dday - Absolutely, we hold each other to a higher standard and I would have it no other way. Thanks for the pep talk bro!
Ddot -True talk, I often wonder how stagnant I would be if I haven’t found TN more specifically this forum.
Lula - Thanks so much, he gives me those eyes and I melt, I know its corny but I that dog is my bestest friend. Im printing this quote out, its awesome. Focusing on the task at hand is important I have to stop sweating the slow progress, because it still is progress and just keeping my eyes on the prize.
Thanks alot everybody, I needed that thats the end of my self loathing I promise!

Thanks a lot bro sometimes I get frustrated
Matty as I said before you delivered in my book, looked good doing it. Nuff said. Looking forward to the next meets videos already. Hope I can hold up as well this spring.
Print - Actions speak louder than words, you always tell me you love me but never show it
Hara - I may be there but only to cheer you on bro.
Dude - I cant wait for your return to the PL meets.
Kent - Thanks bro, like I said before in your log I cant believe how wide your back is!
You know you’re the man, bro! A little squat tweaking, trying out a new program - put in the work and stay the course! You’ll see results in no time, even if slowly but surely.
And anyways, not every cycle can be about going beast mode. Sometimes you gotta be more like a smooth operator. Make love to the bar, Matty. Lol! (its so fucking early, why are we awake)
