OTHER STUFFS
MP - 135/5 185/5 205/5 225/2 205/5 205/3 185/5 155/10
JAVELIN PRESS - BAR(45)X15
SUPINATED CHINS - 3X5 (SS WITH MPs) 2x10 (AFTER MPs) (35)
WEIGHTED NG CHINS - 0/5 25/5 45/3 45/5 70/2 90/.5 45/4 (24.5)
AVERAGE BAND NECK EXTENSIONS - 3X12
KAYAK ROWS - 50X6 57X2X6
Notes: Fucking killer session today, very happy on my good morning effort. Possibly could of gone higher. I am able to use the adjustable bench for the ghetto reverse hypers, at one point the bench was sort of gonna cap size because of my fat ass but I shoved a db to hold it steady. MPs felt awesome, chins felt good, kinda blew my load and couldnt get the +90 up, if I was fresher it would of been np.
no training tomorrow its the wifes b-day, ME upper on wed…
Vid not working. C’mon man, pull it together!
35lbs is a BIG PR, congrats
Git lol, that was just a music vid, didnt bring my flip yesterday…
Thanks Ghost, truth be told, while it is a PR I never really did GMs until Westside, so they are “beginner” gains.

Music vid? I need PR vids to kick my ass into gear, lol.
I haven’t done GMs as a ME exercise yet. I think I’ll give it a go next round.

Well Matty when I was younger I took to heart what the owner of the first true gym I joined told me. He said" No matter how big or how strong you think you are there will always be someone better, you just haven’t met them yet". That’s the one thing I have always carried around my head.
Great work as always Matty!

Question. How do I get my spindly arms to be as hulking as yours?

My dad has told me the same, especially as a teenager and getting in trouble, he would always tell me “there is always someone tougher” wish I would of listened as a kid.
James - Thanks brother!
Ghost - I will stand by weighted supinated chins (rep range 5-8) and direct triceps work, while benching and pressing will hit your tris, for maximal growth I suggest heavy skulls, and pulldowns (heavy weight and 10-15 rep range). I also recommend backoff sets of reverse grip ez bar pulldowns and db oh french presses. This is in addition to the CGBP and JM presses. I almost totally ignore my biceps, maybe 4 sets of hammers a week. The weighted supinated chins really do the trick…to extenuate your biceps more I suggest your chest not touching the bar on the way up, leave some space so your arms and not your back is doing the work.
PR at a plus 35!!! holy crap dude…a tip of the hat and round of drinks!! I think its more like a double Yahtzee

Man, that is what I thought when I saw his picture – not to mention, I’d like to look that young again some day.
Some good lifts in there, not to mention some really solid PRs.
Thanks Cav…at this point there is no reason I shouldn’t be able to get the pin presses @3plates at least 3 times, more like 5. While I do like the pin presses the resetting the bar sometimes fucks with me. Im moving on to floor presses next week, and will revisit them soon. I had a string of some really satisfying sessions, this was just a disappointment.
Elaikases - thanks for stopping by and the compliments! Weighted chins and direct tricep work for different rep ranges is the elixir for arm size.
I love me some floor presses. Great work even though you think it’s a shit day.

Nice work on the GM PR Matty.
Stop sandbagging Tiny!
Really though I think pin presses are so “odd” feeling that you aren’t comfortable and its taking away from your best work.
