Here is what you need to improve the most if you wanna be competitive
Stop sucking your abs in, it doesnt look good, your stomach needs to be tight and flexed but also “flat”
Your abs are not symmetrical, you need to find a way to pose to minimize this
Your delts, especially side delts, need to be worked the most
You need a bit more upper chest mass
You do not need to bring up the calves, lower body isnt judged
Good job
As far as which pic is better, as pwolves said your color is better on the right, although I think you are too oily and instead of bringing out the shape it makes you look softer. You just need a TINY BIT of glaze
Your leaness is better on the left[/quote]
Cheers for the input,
Yeah a few months ago I sat down with a few people to look at where I am and what I need 2 improve on. Shoulders and upper chest came up as the biggest issues like you said. Also arms and calfs because talking 2 the judges they do judge the calfs.
In terms of abs I know what u mean, but I think it’s a little bit of genetics… For example yours are semetrical but they are quite skinny and close together, (don’t get me wrong they look farking sick!) I have tried a few different ways to tence the abs but they always seem to be a little unbalanced.
While I don’t think something as genetically determined as abs (look at Ronnie Coleman, his abs never ‘lined up’ neatly) should be a concern, you have to realize that while your physique may look ok by itself, in the company of those other competitors, your lack of size is what really hurts you much more than any one area.
Yes, your calves are a weak point, BUT, only because some of the other guys have some development. Sure they may not count for a hell of a lot when discussing Mens Physqiue instead of bodybuilding, but when it comes to judging, and one guy in the lineup is noticeably lacking, he won’t get a second glance.
More chest, delts, arms, and yes, calves, and I’m certain future shows will be a different story. Best of luck.

Oh for your abs I think its entirely genetic and not training related. Thats why, imo, you need to practice different poses/angles that minimize this difference
While Stu seems to think it doesnt matter much (no disrespect), I personally think abs are very important in physique, while not so much in bodybuilding
Just having a quick look at the top guys and you realize pretty fast that they all seem to have “perfect abs”

Never any disrespect taken brother! I just think that while Jordz can indeed focus on thickening them up a bit, how the individual sections (“boxes”) line up isn’t something he can change no matter how he alters his training.
Posing wise, a smart competitor can always find ways to accentuate strengths or hide certain weaknesses, BUT, with the very limited “poses” a physique can has to choose from and how they can individualize them (especially when compared to the traditional bodybuilding poses), I think he’d be better off focusing on remedying actual fixable physique weak points.

I couldn’t agree with you more… The guys I am competing against are generally high 80’s early 90’s (kgs) so some of them have like 15-20kg lean mass on me… so getting bigger everywhere is the main goal with an emphasis on shoulders, chest, arms and clafs.
Yeah man that’s so true… when I comes down to a split decision (which it commonly does) something like bigger calfs etc could push me over the line for a win.

Yeah bro, will practice some different poses and see if I can get them abs lined up a little better.
