Kimba - yeah I am still supplementing with spray tans (albeit less frequent than before) until my “real” skin reaches my desired color… but yeah… I did the same thing… built up very slowly being careful NEVER to burn. However, I tan my face with this tanning bed b/c it actually has lights to promote collagen production and reduces/prevents wrinkles! However, I cover it up in the real sun!
Cal - I have been playing around with it. My schedule doesn’t allow me to do it “correctly” all the time (and by correctly I mean the way that I PERSONALLY am experimenting with… which is 20-ish hours of fasting and 4 hours of “feasting/feeding”… Since I can’t always devote 4 hours to feeding in the evening, then I am doing it on days I can and not on days I can’t. Also, during the fasting period… it’s not a 100% “fast”… it’s more like drastic undereating. I always have my juiced veggies and tea with a little organic cream, I may have a few berries, a couple of cashews or some BCAAs… but never a meal.
So when I DO do it… I usually wake up between 10-12, have my juice and my tea, nibble on maybe 50-100 grams of berries and maybe 6-8 nuts 1-2x throughout the day and maybe have 10 grams BCAAs… then around 7 or 8 I start feeding and I always try to start w protein and fat, then have carbs, then I may have a bite of something yummy like a treat… and I eat until I am thirstier than I am hungry… and then I stop. Repeat until 4 hours in p and do it again the next day.
On days I CAN’T do whats above… I will have juice and tea in the morning, fast for about 3-4 hours… then have a big meal in the afternoon (like 4-ish) then nibble a little throughout the evening… then have a decent (but not huge) meal between midnight and 2 am…
I like it so far… I look leaner… so that’s cool. Plus energy is as good as can be expected with all the fatigue I’ve had the last couple of years.

Skye - no ma’am! I was taking 2,000 IU’s 2x per day (4,000 total)… however any time I wasn’t feeling well I would take 16,000-20,000 for 2-3 days at a time (but I knew my levels were super low… so it was safe to take that much for me)… So stick to 4,000 a day unless you know that you have super low levels… =D

Oh no, no…I was just curious to know if you decreased you vit D intake since you were tanning.
But if I recall correctly, it’s a spray tan system as opposed to a tanning bed, right?

Masch- speaking for Molly here, as far as I know there aren’t any books about it, but if you look up leangains or marksdailyapple it talks a lot about it.
I don’t do it everyday…just my off days from the gym…
Masch - The Warrior Diet and Maximum Muscle Minimum Fat are both good! But Betty is right… those sites are both informative as well.
Bear - hmmmm… maybe! I may have work stuff to do… but if I go we will be partners in crime! (Thinks: oh geez! What did I get myself into?)
Betty - That’s interesting… how is your energy when you do it? I find that my workouts go GREAT while fasted… BUT… They are also not super high intensity! I haven’t tried fasted sprints or anything… =D
can’t say to what level of good i will promise this time, but we can discuss it. and if you use work to cop out on me i’ll be so sad. it’ll be my first day off in 10 and I WANT MAH MOLLS!!
Betty - I am not technically doing the Warrior because my schedule doesn’t always allow for me to feed properly at night… but 3-4 days a week I will “fast” until about 8 or 9 pm (having only some juiced veggies, a handful or two of berries and nuts, and MAYBE some BCAAs) the other days I fast until 3 or 4, then have a large meal… nibble a little until 9 or 10 and have another large meal… honestly my calories are about the same as they were when I wasn’t fasting (2200ish-2700ish)
Let me know how you like the book! =D
Bear - I know! We haven’t seen each other in forever! But you are so popular that you are probably keeping plenty busy! ;D
I probably DO have to work unfortunately… Red Point 7 day free trial is rolling out this week and I am swamped! Let me repeat that:
YOU CAN TRY OUR NUTRITION/WORKOUT SOFTWARE FOR FREE FOR 7 DAYS AND YOU CAN CANCEL ANYTIME!!!
I know lots of women on this side have their training routines down pat… but I really think they would enjoy the meal planning process! Plus… you guys can see what I have been working on for almost 4 years! =D
So yeah… workouts have been going well… I have been working like a madwoman… intermittent fasting is going well… and I will let everyone know when we officially roll out our free trial!!! I am sooo excited!
I tried the only eating in the evening thing - ended up putting on 10lbs. Felt freezing cold all the time so I obviously slowed my metabolism. I seem to do better on a restricted but more regular eating plan (although I often don’t eat breakfast until after 10am, or even 12 on weekends sometimes).
Cal - I remember you saying that… it actually made me nervous to even try the “warrior-style” diet… but so far I look like I have lost body fat and my clothes are a bit looser, even with less restrictive food choices. Weight is close to the same but fluctuates. If I start gaining fat, you’d better believe I will hop off this diet ASAP! =D

Hey…how about a link to the website I found it but maybe there is a reason you’re not posting it…dunno.

Hahahahaha! Sorry giterdone! I didn’t think about posting it b/c the free trial is not ready yet… but I guess people would still probably like a link! =D
Thanks for the info Molly! (and MiM) Ain’t gonna lie, that eating sounds a bit nutty, but hey, I’m always interested in new things. And I like to consider myself a warrior of sorts.
I’ve been interested in your site ever since I started following your log on FA (long ago)… definitely let us know when the free trial starts! Do you interact directly with the people that sign up or are you more behind the scenes?
