nlmain - yes… walking was actually the way my BF and I fell in love! I was friends with his roommate and we would all walk together occasionally for cardio and after several weeks of walking every morning we realized we liked each other and the rest is history! We had a fun walk tonight… reminded me of the old days! <3
Kimba - Thanks! I am trying! Yeah, MR had me step-up to a much lower box until I got in under control. Then I would add weight and try to keep the cave under control… once I could do that, I would raise the box, and drop the weight and then work my way back up again. That’s kind of how everything works w him… get stronger in a limited range of motion, then increase the ROM and try to get stronger there, and keep it going until you are strong in a full ROM… interesting stuff!

Workout went well tonight! It looked similar to the one I listed above… but I am REALLY working on perfecting those single leg RDL’s… when done right… they are a BIATCH! I think I am doing a light lifting session in the morning…
We are also filming our exercises to send them off to MR for more critique… can’t wait to hear what he says!
I’m really sorry to hear about your coccyx - ouch! One of my old colleagues had this happen after someone pulled a chair away when she was sitting down (this happened to her at school, not when I knew her).

Betty - MR suggested them actually! I was using 15 b DB’s… I have used as much as 35 lb DBs in the past… but I wasn’t being a form nazi like I am now. And I mean NAZI! Ground leg has to be only slightly bent with the knee pushed OUT (NO KNEE CAVE)… abs have to be super crazy tight, chest has to be UP and OUT, lower back can’t arch too much… I can’t lean in one direction or the other, my head has to be neutral, and I have to squeeze with my glute to stand back up. It’s CRAZY! So… yeah sometimes I use weight… sometimes I just use body weight and spend a lot of time perfecting my form…

Umm…so should taking a big poop hurt my tailbone? CUZ IT DOES! This sh*t sucks!! (pun intended!) It’s so funny… it hurts in the exact opposite spot that sitting down hurts… it’s pain on the underside of my tailbone… WEIRD!
Anyway… I am starting to get severely annoyed with it… RAWR!
On a brighter note, my pookie just told me that he is going on family vacation with me at the end of July!!! This is HUGE! He is not a huge fan of vacations, or hanging out with people he doesn’t know very well (even though he knows my family pretty well…) but still… getting him to leave the state of Ky for more than a day is a big deal! I am so so so excited! There is like 40 of us… and we rent these giant beach houses that are literally ON the beach… and all everyone does is swim, drink, lay out, drink, play bocci ball, drink, eat, play cards and drink some more. (We are Irish Catholic… what can I say? =D)
So anyway… should be a blast! Plus my 2.5 year old nephew will be there and it will be so fun playing with him in the ocean! =D

As for me, I’ve been slacking a lot lately. Moved from FL to MN, started a new job, bought a house, had bf move in, got a dog, sister got married, started selling Thirty-One, and spending time with lots of friends and family, then was rear-ended and all workouts were put on hold. I’m allowed to start working out again light and easy, so I’m going to try and get back to the gym this week.
That’s so exciting that the bf will be going on such an awesome vacay with you and your family!
That’s a lot to think about on the single leg dls. Next time I do these I’m gonna pay more attention, that’s for sure.

RBlue - yeah… ever since I started REALLY watching my form, I have been stopping the exercise once it starts to break down… and my ROM is shorter than ever and the exercise is still so hard!!! I am slowly trying to increase my ROM as I get better… then I’ll add weight eventually.
nlmain - haha they don’t discriminate much on the alcohol… it’s often Bloody Mary’s, Screwdrivers and Mimosas in the morning, margaritas and beer throughout the day, and wine, beer and sometimes SHOTS in the evening… =D Depends on the mood I guess… =D
