Yeah we had a great time! He watched me squat and was SHOCKED at how weak I am out of the hole. He said that once we get everything fixed, my squat numbers should go through the roof! YAY!!! Hopefully my deadlifting numbers will go up like crazy too since my glutes haven’t even been firing this whole time and my hips are kinda weak too! He was saying that he will prob put me on a more strength based program next… but honestly, I just want to do whatever is best for me in the long run… and if that means more corrective exercises and mobility stuff, then so be it! =D
Sooo… went to workout last night (Wednesday) and I almost fell asleep while I was foam rolling… BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! So I went home and lay down around 8 pm… and I ended up falling asleep and slept until 11 am this morning! 15 hours of sleep! I felt like a new woman! I ended up being super productive today and it felt good! I am also super pumped that I leave for my trip in about 26 hours! YIPPEE! =D
Prob won’t be doing much formal working out while I am there… prob just hiking, biking, walking and dancing! =D Oh… and lots of yummy food! =D
Corrective exercise is my new best friend too. Agreed that it is better to find out about imbalances and bust ass to fix them before obsessing about strength gains.

Ride Bike down to Venice Beach/Muscle Beach
Get asked to participate in some stunts at Muscle Beach
Decide to deadlift in a bikini and jean skirt and tank top
Pull 275 at Muscle Beach with minimal warm-up (pics to come)
Home
Dinner at STK (fab steakhouse in Hollywood)
Walk right to the front of the line to get into Voyeur (supposed to be the hottest club in Hollywood right now =D)
Danced with friends
Was super sleepy so went home and crashed
Sunday
Church where my BFF led the service (she rocked!)
GINORMOUS omelets at Novel Cafe
Frozen yogurt goodness at Cherry on Top =D
Hike 2.5 STRAIGHT UP a freaking mountain… almost die of dehydration (pics to follow)

Tour the tourist-y part of Hollywood (Hollywood and Highlands… I have been here but others hadn’t)

Lunch at In-N-Out Burger (it was good… but not thoroughly impressed =-/ )
Drive to Santa Barbara for Wine tasting
Wasn’t gonna Wine Taste cuz I don’t normally drink… but my friends got annoying so I had to drink to put up with them (seriously… second time I have had more than 1 drink in almost 5 years!)
Lots and lots and lots of wine (pics to follow)
Lots of debauchery (SOME pics to follow… others will be destroyed and denied! =D)
Gross food and decent Margarita at Brewhouse (we didn’t care at this point if the food was gross)

Owlie - Thanks so much! You are too sweet! Yeah we had a blast! It’s so sad that we only get to see each other a few times a year. They really are the best friends in the whole world!

We are ALL super active people… and everyone (typically) is very conscious of what they are eating (wit the exception of this trip =D)… they all lift weights… but not quite as seriously as me. The other blonde use to lift pretty hardcore (like-12-pullups-in-a-row-hardcore!) But she moved away and took up running for a while. She still lifts… but does other things as well. The brunette with pink shorts is a runner and she lifts sometimes with her boyfriend, but running is her passion. Then my BFF (the long brown hair and sunglasses) she does a little bit of everything… lifting, biking, yoga, tons of hiking, surfing…
So yeah… all my girls LOVE to workout in one way or another, and everyone watches what they eat… but we all love food and love to splurge on occasion! =D
So I have some bad news… I fell the other day and landed on my tailbone… OUCH! I felt like I was OK… but I decided to go have X-rays done just in case. I am trying to get in to see the doc… but because it’s not an emergency, I haven’t gotten an appointment yet. =-/
It’s not terrible pain, but it hurts to sit… an definitely hurts to shift around if I am sitting and/or I am on my back. I tried to workout today… nothing too crazy… nothing laying on my back (glute bridges, bench press, etc) nothing that involved pushing my butt back (squats, RDL’s, etc)… so I did some rows, face pulls, low box step-ups, and then I pulled the sled VERY lightly (45 lbs) for 20 minutes (2 sessions, 10 min each, 2-3 min rest between the sessions). Afterward it actually felt better! Then I had a massage, and I am about to shower and get in bed! Friday I accidentally scheduled 2 more 1.5 hour massages… I considered keeping them both… but I decided to give my boyfriend one appt and I will keep the other. 3+ hours of massage in a day would prob make me super loopy…!
So… please keep me in your thoughts! I want my bum to get better! =-/
