no your science is spot on. But based on what you’re saying, without insulin a diabetic wouldn’t be able to exercise (or live), but you are making the case that glucose and testosterone are in the same category and have the same effect on muscle growth.
Honestly though I understand your point completely, 100%. if my competitor has natural 800 t, and i have 200, and I take trt and get to 800, any results I have beyond my competitor is due completely to my own hard work and perseverance. But it’s still not naty because naty = natural, it’s not natural. It’s a fair point and might be something to consider, but it would take a huge shift in the paradigm.
Well for my sport it brings me to a competitive level for once in my life. I trained for 4 years and maybe increased my threshold by 5%… while my bros were all at 300 ftp , I was at 245… i know why now. My body was not adapting to the stress. I will race with the guys and I will give it my all. I don’t care if I win or loose. I am in the FUCKING moment and no more excuses … this is gonna be a painful year of intervals and long ass beating rides.
Looking at it from a personal perspective rather than sporting, I’d say the distinction between natty or not comes down to age.
If your 20-30ish and still fall within physiological ranges I’d consider that natural levels. Being 40 plus though as I am, I struggle to describe myself as a natty.
A fairly known youtuber with 5mil subscribers Furious Pete did lifting and eating videos. He even deadlifted 700lbs. Got testicular cancer so had to remove his left testicle. Recently he found out his right testicle also got a growth. He had to get it removed 2 weeks ago. In his latest video he stated that he must go on TRT. Will he be a natty or not?
